Here, take this profitable ea

@trbedell Hi! Try 5-minute timeframe

-
@roar Thank you million times. Bless you
-
Hi mr. Roar, may if I ask how do you get old historical data?
-
@kfrivaldo Hi! It is about the broker. FXTM and ICMarkets have very good quality all the way to 2010, I think. MT5 downloads the data automatically.

thanks for reply. I tried the ea with what I have (about 8 months of historical data) and it works very nice with EURUSD but break even with GBPUSD. I will try to open a demo account with one of the brokers you mentioned.
thanks a lot once again
-
@kfrivaldo can you please share the ea
-
@roar whats the name of the broker?
-
@beefie The first test was run with ForexTime, but should work with any broker with decent trading costs. I'd recommend ICmarkets

@roar Hello friend, first (Congratulations on your work) I am from Brazil and I am not finding any EA as professional as this.
I am trying to adapt it to use in the traded assets of Brazil in the case in particular a big moving asset that is called (Mini-Indice) (WIN$N) and realized that it does not trade buy and sell, does not open any position, I would like wondering if you can help me solve? -
@fabiobioware Hi!
I can't think of a reason right away, tbh I don't even remember all the details of this project...Do you use mt4 or mt5? If mt5, do you use netting or hedging position system?
Do you see any error messages in the mt4 journal, about the failed trade opens?
Have you backtested it? -
Thanks for replying my message friend.
I will check everything you mentioned and return an answer, I am using mt5 to apply the tests. -
@fabiobioware Ok, I might now the problem now. I guess your mt5 can have simultaneous long and short trades? That means, your mt5 account is a hedging account.
My mt5 project is designed for netting account. That account will automatically close any sell trades if new buy is opened, and vice versa.
-
@roar I contacted my broker and they confirmed to me that my account is not hedge, my account is netting.
-
@fabiobioware That's great, the EA should be suitable for your system. Does it work on EURUSD 5-min?
Btw, you can see the account mode here as well:

-
@roar
I do not operate in this currency, I am from Brazil and I operate WINZ19 is there any place I can change from EURUSD TO WINZ19? -
@fabiobioware The EA uses the symbol of the chart.. I don't know anything about WINZ19

WINZ19
If I remember right, CFDs and Indices have a different pip value, so likely the problem is in the lot sizing or some other attribute. Development of EAs can be specific to instruments, in other words, it may not be as effective on an index as it would on forex.
It is pretty tough to find a reliable trading method, I have spent a great amount of time to find such a method. This EA looks good on forex. A thank you to roar for sharing.
-
@line I think youre right, it's the lot sizing. And yeah, this EA will not make profit on the ETF, withouth any modifications. The ETF probably has bigger trading costs and smaller volatility, and thus the 5-min timeframe can't be very proftable in the long run.

Thank you! This back tests better than anything I have ever tried. My broker is Oanda and it back tested well on EurUsd and GbpJpy, however I donβt have much data to back test with yet. So after 24 hours on a live account, I have seen no trades, but this doesnβt seem do a lot of trades from what I can see. I see low drawn out of the box
when back testing, it is very interesting, thanks again for sharing!

@matallica1 If you really want to trade this EA, I would advice sticking with EURUSD and M5 timeframe. Its what I designed the bot for, and other symbols will not work as well. EURUSD has the best volatility/spread ratio by far, and other symbols will just increase the risk with no added profit...
Btw, seems like the EA had a rough patch for the H2 2019... Lets see if it can even make new highs
