    • RE: RISK FIXED AMOUNT OF MONEY - Not using fix amount of money.

Thanks for the reply, I'm an idiot so I'm going to put what I'm after in simple terms.

I am entering with the stop loss at the low of the last candle (buy) and high of the candle when a sell.

I am trying to use the ''Risk a fixed amount of money'' to make sure I only risk, say, £50 per trade.

However, after running the EA on meta4 the results are showing risks of up to £250 and lows of £20.

As you can imagine, it's nearly impossible to use my risk management with the risk per trade changing so often.

I have a feeling it's something simple but I'm just not seeing it.

      Again, really appreciate your reply.

    • RISK FIXED AMOUNT OF MONEY - Not using fix amount of money.

      Can anyone help me?
If i set the Risk fixed amount of money to say £50 after i run a test of the EA in meta4 I see that the Risk amount sometimes hits peaks of £250 and lows of £30.

This makes it near impossible to use a fixed cash amount to risk.

I currently have my BUY block set to risk £50 per trade and the TP to be 500% of the SL. Making it a 1:5 RR.
However my winnning trades seem to be correct but my losing trades vary in size by quite a margin.

If this were to say ''Risk £50 and i see £45'' then that would be correct due to the lot size needed may not perfectly aline with £50. However seeing -£250 on some trades is not how its supposed to work as there are multiple lot sizes it couldve chosen to achieve a closer risk amount to the amount i desired.

If anyone could help me with this issue that would be great. Thanks in advance. 🙂
