You can use as many buy/sell now blocks per day as max trades and then turn them on/off as they are used but that would make the structure far more cumbersome. Why don't you want to use variables?

Your use of that boolean variable is the way, but you need to separate the structure controlling what's happening on the main MACD from what's happening on the second. Additionally, toy need to specify when the boolean variable is changed into 'false' again.
There can be many possible reasons, different backtest input parameteres, different tick data quality available, different TF, etc. Are you sure you are replicating the EXACT same conditions of your friend's tests?
