Trailing stop bug
-
Hi fxdreema!
I think I've found a bug on trailing stop block. It change the "original" stop even if the price didn't move in the favour of the trade. This is a simple example: https://fxdreema.com/shared/TfOfpoPhd
I think that it should keep the "original" stop loss until the price reach the trailing step pips level.
In the example the order block has a stop loss of 45pips and, when the EA start, place the trade and change the stop loss at trailing stop loss level.
I've tried to upload an image but with this new forum version I can't anymore...so I write here the path where I think the image sholud be: \forum\uploads\files\1479902275945-cattura-resized.jpgThanks!

Well, the decision of the block to move SL depends on few parameters - current price, current SL, trailing Stop, trailing Step and also Start. Few days ago I posted this page in the Help section: https://fxdreema.com/help/working-with/trailing-stop
I think that what it does is expected, because the initial SL is far away from Open Price. But you can delay that with Trailing Start.

Got it! Many thanks!

Thanks for this Topic! i've used the parameters to make one thing on my project and it was better than expected, my stop loss follows the price very closely, and it was exactly what i wanted, but i want to know how to move the stop that is following the price to 0 when an oscilator goes < 70 or > 30.
Thanks by now
