Ma shift -20 not working

Ma shift does not ???
try to have a ma shift of -20 but buys or sells are still triggered by the original value.
any ideas as to why

@markz1 Shift -20 is in the future, right? I think you need to refine your strategies' logic.

Moving averages draw trends from past information
having the off set surely just plots where the line appears on the chart ???
or i am missing something ??
