Closing trades at total profit of account balance
-
Greetings traders!
I’ve seen some posts in here about closing running trades when a total profit is hit. What I am trying to do is have my trades close when the total account value hits a certain amount. Here is an example:
I have $100 in my account and I’m looking to close my running trades at $1 profit. But let’s say I lose $4 worth of trades bringing my account to $96. The EA will now close my trades at $5 profit ($4 to make up the losses plus the $1 of profit) bringing my account to $101
So basically it will be trade cycles where the goal is to hit $1 profit. Is this possible to do?

@cryptoknight Following your example, $1 over $100 means you want to close trades at a 1% profit over initial balance. Then you can do this:

Thanks for the response! Just tested the settings and it is closing the trades at $1 regardless of the current balance? So if it’s down $20 it will close at $1 profit instead of $21 profit
Did I do something wrong?

@cryptoknight reply directly to his message so he gets a notification

@cryptoknight I'm afraid I selected the wrong option. This is the correct one, sorry:
