Spread for Test

What's the best spread value to use for backtest on MT4 broker terminal ?

am using Exness and their terminal spread is 10 by default, when I reduce it i get a better result but I dont know if the spread value is in pips or points.

What's your thought on this?

On MT you can select smaller, depends on what is shown on live chart. You can also use current.

@jstap would have preferred current but I test at mid-night too - spreads are high at that time.

Their EU spread is 0.8pips, but on their terminal you see default as 10.

You can set to 0.8, if defaults to 10, set back to 0.8
