@felix2828 I am familiar with it but don't use it in majority of projects.

@felix2828 I have developed a similar strategy for one of my robots using bollinger bands. Can't help you with the flags thing, never saw it. But I can say, a useful filter to the bands strategy is to sell off the upper band when its also decreasing in value, and buy off the lower band when it's increasing in value. This can improve the signal quality slightly and help you selling off the top band while the candles continue piercing upwards

Hi, nice that it is working for you.
I've found from backtesting that momentum keeps on pushing it is easier to just go with the trend.
Haven't found success for reversal trading.
Have developed simple momentum strategy with heiken ashi.

What do you mean by decreasing in value, you mean the stochastic, like a divergence?

            thank you anyway 🙂

Yes, range trading is tricky and needs to be done at certain times. I mean, when upper band is falling and candle touches it, sell and when lower band is rising, and candle touches it, buy

Yes, i've found most of the times there were some fakeouts at bollinger bands, but dont wanna mess with market when there is momentum.

Yes its like vwap, when bands are flat i always tried range trading, but often market only has paused to sometime to continue in trend direction.

Have burned to much many this way before actual change happended.

Found it is easier to just wait for the impulse move and go with momentum, whether market moving sideways or trend.
