Hey, I'm using a future predicting indicator (xprofuter) which basically predicts the momentum of price 14 candles into the future by using moving averages of the sort (more technical than that but it's the simple explanation).

Part of my strategy is to take a buy trade when the indicator predicts that the faster moving average (lets say 10 ma) crosses above the slower moving average (lets say 20 ma) and is predicted by the indicator to continue like that over the next 14 candles without crossing back under.

Is there a block that I can use to add this rule to my EA? I've already successfully added the custom indicator, but I don't know how to get the prediction aspect of it into the EA.

@davidmcc If you add the indicator here, what it's doing can be looked at, is just a guess with out i.t

You can see based on the vertical line at the current candle, the xprofuter indictaor continues to show a signal in the future of where price could continue going, including pull backs (blue line)

Any idea @jstap on how to get the EA to see the future prediction of the Indicator? Is there a way to use negative values for candle ID? Like -14 for 14 candles into the future?

Basically I want to the EA to place a buy after it sees the condition that the blue line cross above the black one and the blue line continues to stay above the black one for the next 14 candles

@davidmcc Still as I said either put the indicator here, or don't, is your choice.

The indicator actually tricks you by shifting the lines infront. 😛

Yes the line shifts as the market shifts, but with enough experience, you'll see that during high momentum / volatility periods, it's quite accurate. I've been using it for years now.

@jstap How do I add the indicator here? I only see the option to upload a photo.

Here's the link to download it... https://www.best-metatrader-indicators.com/mt5/xprofuter-dd-indicator.zip

It says uploads are disabled. I gave the link to download.

I really don't understand why uploading the indicator is so important when I explained how it functions.

I just want to know if fxdreema has a block or a way that allows us to look at an indicator that provides future data.

@davidmcc Is because what can be used in a indicator can be different, start by adding to my indicators, then get the required attribute into a comment, or draw a arrow or something, once you can do this you will know how to use.

@jstap I dont think you understood the original question. I know HOW to use the indicator.

The question is ..... is there a condition or block within FXDREEMA that can work with this indicator? The indicator predicts price movement into the future.

Please read my initial post again to understand the question better.

@davidmcc Yes blocks in the indicator, amongst others, use these to get your EA doing something on visual back test, then you'll know what to use.
