Fast Volatility check

I was just wondering what the best method would be to identify a big jump in Volatility, I am trying to identify when a really fast change in price is happening in the market,

Preferably this would be an indicator such as the ATR.

@someemokez You can also use Momentum indicator with a very small period, for example.
