Hiho,

i subscribed and build my first EA. I edited my options (path to MT4) but when i try to build mq4 or ex4 there i see the 'building file' info but when i push the 'Metaeditor' button nothing happens. The same is when saving the ex4 file and trying to open it with the MetaTrader. I saved the settings and also reloaded fxDreema...

Some hints?

The same here here. The problem is that it never failed on my PC, so I don't know the reason. The plugin itself seems to work, but the .dll inside does nothing.
What is your environment - Browser, antivirus, other security things?

Just to say, I'm ready to inspect this using TeamViewer (or similar) on someone's PC.

PS: Okay found it. At the moment it says the path to MT4 doesn't exist. Mmmmhhh. I know the path is right... Must see...

0.1 will be updated automatically to 0.2 on browser start, so it doesn't help so much

For path, don't use "/experts" in it. Use main MetaTrader path, where terminal.exe is located.

did a complete reinstall at the root. Nothing changed. I think it must be a kind of security problem. The internet browser wants to write to local harddisk...

This behavior is on a newly (yesterday) installed Windows 8 64Bit PC. Could it be a 64Bit problem? That the API calls within the DLL are only for direct 32Bit
Antivirus ist Microsoft Security Essentials.

When 0.1 is working shouldn't we better drop 0.2 completly till the bug is removed? At the moment i can't export or compile an EA and don't know how to solve the situation...

When do you inspect the pc what you are looking for? Can i search for myself?

LOL. FireFox stops responding when i will start fxdreema. Ahh.. 2 Minutes later its there.
Now it shows 'building file...' and thats it.

I can surf without any problems, any site i want...

0.2 stopped working after I changed some settings and the output .dll file size dropped from 636k to 99k. The difference between 636k and 99k are some stupid libraries that are needed to be inside the .dll file for computers without Visual C++ installed. Microsoft...

i have the same problem written on 1st site, i have installed connector 0.3, my path to mt4 in global option is right and when i hit built as .mq4 or .ex4 i see "building file..." but thats all.
No .mq4 or .ex4 file are saved on my pc.
I hope you have a solution for this problem.

hmm, now i have installed GC
without the connector plugin the generator build .mq4 and .ex4 file, but in the download folder.
With aktive plugin no file will be saved in any folder, but after building .mq4 file the MetaEditor image appears.

Is there actually a possibility the local version to update automatically?

I only know that sometimes strange things may happen when Windows UAC is enabled, because when it is on, modifications of files and folders in Program Files can be disabled. I am with UAC disabled, because I don't like such a security problems. You can try to run the browser as administrator.

Local version tells if there is a new version, but it does not auto update. Well, the update process itself is easy - download and run single file - it happens in seconds.
