Code didn't pick any trade in strategy tester

I created a simple EA just to test the effectiveness of ATR indicator with ticks trading (synthetic pair called crash 1000). I wanted the EA to pick trades and buy for 6 candles or next 6 minutes on the crash 1000 index pair once the ATR crosses above the 2.0 level.

But my EA didn't pick any trade when I run it on strategy tester. What could be wrong?

Atr crosses a level between 0-100 but is rarely much lower than 20 or above 80, you can see this by adding indicator to chart.

ATR scale isn't standardized, its "normal" values can float under 0.01 or above 1000, anything, depending on your symbol and timeframe.

Very true, I was thinking of other indicators.

@jstap oh, now I see, thanks a lot. So I can see that it shows up to 80...100 in higher timeframes. This particular one will only be for a One Minute timeframe as I could see the highest it touhes within that timeframe over time, is not more than 5 for the crash 1000 indices
