Moving Average Channel Cross

Hi there. I am trying to build an EA that will monitor a moving average channel (8 EMA, high and low) and close any open trades when the channel crosses above/below the 200 EMA (e.g. close a buy trade when the channel crosses below the 200 EMA and vice versa).

At the moment I have the attached which will just send an alert when the conditions are met until I am confident it's working appropriately, but it doesn't seem to be working as I expect. Is there something I have missed here?

Unless manually placed (in which case you would need to change settings), the trade count will never be greater than 0...

Yes all my trades are manually placed. I only want it to manage the exit of a trade, not entry.
