Dynamic position sizing for Indices

Hoping someone can help.

I've stumbled across a strange, intermittent issue when I use dynamic lot sizing for Indices.

My dynamic lot sizing uses an ATR calculation to determine the SL and TP. It will then calculate the position size as a % of equity. This works a treat most of the time, however every once in a while the position size will be the 'maximal volume' allowed for the instrument. I've run into occasions where I've observed this happening and close the trade. The EA will then immediately re-open the trade in many instances using the correct size.

Has anybody every come across this? Any thoughts on what the issue might be? Again, only seen this for Indices CFD's, not for Forex.

I'm using MT5 on Windows 11.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never experienced that? Did you test other brokers? Maybe your broker is limiting your CFD specifications.
