Trace Question

I was trying to get the trace to show me the value of a variable, I think I'm missing a step
I thought the modify variable block would assign the value of the 9ma to Mytest variable

Can anyone help

Condition - Candle - Parameter - this is a drop-down select menu that is not supposed to be replaced with a Variable
