Issues with Pending Orders
-
Sorry I wanted to make this my last resort but i'm not sure how to move past this
I wanted to create a pretty simple strategy, at 1PM two pending orders are created - the buy goes by the high of the last 1H candle with a +5 pip offset and the sell goes by the low of previous candle with a +5 offset; when one is triggered the other is canceled out (which I havent tried to do yet)

My issue is that the pending orders just don't seem to be going through correctly, its often that the market moves beyond the previous candle and the pending buy order for example becomes a buy limit and thus doesn't trigger at all despite the price moving in exactly the direction I want it to? I'm wondering if anyone can help sort this problem or tell me if i'm mapping this out wrong in some way
Thank you

Even when the price first sets the boundaries it's listing the buy pending as a buy limit automatically, as in a below market average boundary so when the market moves through it; it just doesn't trigger at all. Atleast I think that's why it doesn't trigger, I honestly have no idea

Do not use the 'offset' box. Instead, click on the 'Adjust' tab and there type '+5pips' or '-5 pips'.

I have done this but it hasn't changed anything, once the price moves beyond the pending orders threshold it instantly closes the order before any trade is made; am I missing something super obvious?
