I just wish thank @Xfire and @l-andorrà for the great post and tutorial and also for sharing the post @l-andorrà it is truly price tutorial!

I finally managed to create my indicator and also to create an EA out of it successfully :))

To also note th Ea is not 100 perferct still needs monitoring , i created it to assist with execution coz i'm trading these Synthetic instruments from Deriv dot com and when they break out or change trend they spike out so fast i end up having late entries or not having confidence in placing trades further so the Ea helps with this a lot!

On running the Ea i build an EA for taking partial TP so i tested the EA with custom indicator on 5 and 15 min time frames and EA did really well spotting the different markets and made executions immediately a signal came out Just what i need hehe..

Ok enough with my yapping and have a look at the results its all you @Xfire tomorrow i become a billionaire it will be you and @l-andorrà you alsso helped me with the partial tp ea i'm still grateful!

Tests done demo real environment prices as they happen not back testing.

Double click on no.2, you will be taken to were you must make corrections and then dele the comma and one space

Hi guys hope everyone is good and well..!

I need your help, i wish to create an "Trade manager" EA but i'm unable to get it right and working.

I want to the EA to partially close trades i opened manually and i don't want the EA to open any trades for me.

I took the partially close trades example but i think there's a block i missed in order for the EA to operate.

Please help with this or advise if this is possible? Thanks a lot

I'm creating an EA for MT5 based on a custom indicator, when i click on the create the .ex5 i get this error message "Compilation errors ',' - syntax error, parameter missed"

How to not have this error in future, thanks

Hi @l-andorrà, The issue has been sorted i added the "once per position/order" and this did the trick, I'll use your suggestion next

@jstap, I think i got it right, i tested it on live trading i'll wait to see if it continues taking partial TPs or the trade will continue running with no interruptions

No this setting does do what i want i think it closes the trade completely

I selected "After empty loop" testing this setting to see if this will resolve my query i'll update everyone

My take is to have 1 Partial TP then let the trade run until TP target/Level is hit

@gtoat777 Hows it going friend, you sound frustrated .. unfortunately the financial markets are designed to frustrate us and this makes money for these market makers :))

To answer your question, back testing is still very important, coz we make EA's and indicators to help us see and enter trades with little frustration as possible.

That's what you should think about every time you test an ea or use an indicator, to confirm what you saw or suspect. That's what i use back testing for, not to see profits all the time.

My personal take on EA's indicators etc, are to help us with placing trades not really make us profits coz no one really knows what will happen in the next minute or hour as we know, so why leave it to chance??

Rather make peace in your heart and decide this is when you want to enter a trade or, the EA should enter a trade particular rules are met, and decide on how many pips you want to catch and then you are out regardless of how much you could've made if you stayed a bit longer in the trade and also stop saying stuff like "Thank God i got out quickly" to yourself, this will lead to more frustration and stress.

So use your Ea and Indicators to confirm what you see and to act on your behalf since we humans are very cautious creatures and we question everything we do, only success and positive results make us confident, until then have a simple and doable plan and follow it until you see financial success!

Hi FxDreema, please advise, i've setup my robot i think its sort of working but, it only does 4 trades then self terminiates why is this or how can we solve this?
