My MT4 demo account hasn't been working for 24 hours.

My broker says that the problem is with MT4, but my live account works just fine.

Is anyone else having problems with their MT4 demo account?

When I make a constant (to measure today's profits) how do I make sure the constant is measuring pips and not dollars?

@l-andorrà How do I make your "daily profit" formula that is in the check profit block?

How can I measure my total profits for today in pips?

I know how to do this in dollars, but I can't figure out how to measure today's total profits in pips.

Any ideas?

I'm not making reference to my EA, or any of my EA's.

I'm talking about my MT4 platform. On MT4 when I right click my mouse on a chart, then highlight "trading" there is a drop down menu where I used to be able to place an alert on my chart that made a noise when a chart got to that point. Now when I go to "alerts" in that drop down menu and click on it nothing happens.

I know this is a forum for FXdreema, but I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this problem with their MT4? Or if anyone knows how to fix it?

I would have contacted MetaQuotes directly, but I can't find an email or phone number for them anywhere on the internet.

Is anyone else having trouble with their alerts not working in MT4?

I can only put out one alert... sometimes two, but that's it. I can't have three or four alerts at the same time.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

@zackry Thank you so much for mentioning the ASCI codes in your answer. I was having trouble figuring out hot to make my hot keys work, and this solved my problem. Thank you!

@roar Thank you for your answer. This really helped me out. This was just the clue I needed to figure out hot keys. I appreciate it!

Is there anyway I can set up a "hot key" so that when I hit shift-F (for example) the EA places a buy stop where my cross-hairs are?

@l-andorrà It did work, but I had to piece together some other tips I found on youtube, and other websites.

I've already uploaded my EA's to my mt4, but I might want to come back in a few months to make a few changes to some of my EA's.

@rafaels919 Now I can get my EA to compile in the MetaEditor, and it shows up in the Navigator within the MetaEditor, but my EA doesn't show up in the MetaTrader Navigator.

How can I make my EA show up on my MetaTrader?

I just went to the MetaTrader4 website (https://www.metatrader4.com/en/download) to re-install mt4 and apparently that's not an option anymore.

I tried to download mt4, but I had no choice but to download mt5.

Now that I have to use mt5 how to get my EA's from fxDreema to my mt5?

@trader-philipps I made a portable version, but it had the exact same problem. I might just have to re-install the whole thing. This is beyond frustrating.

I'm sure this is related, but I'm not sure how... when I hit the "MetaQuotes Language Editor" button on my mt4 platform nothing happens.

I think that once I fix my "MetaQuotes Language Editor" button then my problem might be solved.
