Hahahaha. And to be fair, @l-andorrà , I did take your advice and email him first! haha. So. You might have been correct. Don't be too hard on yourself. Appreciate you, bud.

And to @fxDreema , that's really great to hear and I'm glad it's already in the back of your mind. I'm patient. I just wanted it out there.

Eliminating the scroll bars and with zoom might be an interesting combo. I assume kind of like an infinite canvas like you see on many other, modern applications (like Obsidian's Canvas, for example).

If you're in the process of doing all of that anyways (and you're already probably thinking of this, but I'd like to say it for the record), one night, I was on my phone and looking at a forum post about something, and there was an example project linked with a custom code block...and there was no gesture for me to access and see its contents! I know phone isn't optimal, but it'd be really nice if I could at least like long press and then select the block's contents window via the menu that comes up. There's likely some other mobile/tablet specific pain points, as well. Again, I know it's not optimal, but if you're already gutting and redoing everything anyways, it's probably worth having in the back of your mind.

      That's my two cents regardless.

Really appreciate what your'e doing here regardless. Just wanted to voice some thoughts. I've said what I thought and consider this closed on my end. Appreciate your consideration in these matters.

Technically you can do it via loop, that is true, but now I don't see the logic behind that. Why not using the timeframe you need instead of searching for that info? In your example, if you select the 5M timeframe all candles will be of a XX:X5 type.

Okay, I believe I solved it. The EA I'm trying to build here, I wanted this event to only happen one time, so I put it "on Init" but for some reason, when I moved it all to "on Tick" it seemed fine.

@roar I do have the source code for one, but it is a header file, not sure if it would even be possible. I posted about this in another thread asking about the limitations of custom mql code boxes

@l-andorrà Not necessarily. Dreema is very approachable and gives me the opportunity to better learn how to think like a programmer/coder anyways.

Furthermore, I won't be going from nothing to final iteration in one pass. It's just too much to ask of someone earlier in this coding process. Dreema gives me a stepping stone to get the results I need, one iteration at a time, and move into coding in bite sized pieces instead of one overwhelming wave.

Ultimately, I believe dreema is the right place to start. But, I'm also, again, asking the question simply because I'm not at that destination yet. How am I supposed to know if Dreema can deliver everything I need it to? That's why I'm asking the question I am. I don't even know if the workflow I described is the most correct approach for what I'm trying to achieve and I don't know what the backend looks like on all of that.

I just want to know if it's possible, what skills I'm going to need to acquire, and any other words of caution I might need between here and there.

      Thanks again for the reply!

@roar Thanks, Roar! Hahaha. You're the best.

Surprisingly, I did NOT expect it to be that complicated! hahaha. I'm still a complete nub with custom coding (hence why I'm drawn to FxDreema). I don't fully grasp it still, but I think you've given me more than enough to try and figure it out. Thanks, bud!

@cdwilder1 Not in the position you are asking for, I'm afraid. You can get that same result by creating a whole structure with several blocks.

could it also have been done using market properties range?

I'll think of it and post a version sort of how you explained above and see if its similar.

or possible the Price X Indicator block?

      Oh, goodness, @roar hahaha

I added a bunch of new variables and stuff to the project, also, just not in that area. So, reverse variables? It does the opposite of what's stored in the variable or something?

I guess there's no list of these or something anywhere? My project has like 20 variables and another 20+ constants hahaha.

      Thanks for the reply.
