@cdwilder1 Nearly similar issue here I need some help with an EA where trades are opened manually after a blink chart signal...how can one set another blink signal when price moves 10 pips away from last blink ?
In other words I need a chart to blink every 10 pips in after the first blink on trade or not.

@l-andorrà I will be opening trades manually and the exit would be automated but still I can close trades if the exit will clearly be in a loss .

Let's say your EA signals a buy setup opportunity but you have to enter trade manually in the best time . How can you put the blocks in a way to notify you of every 10 pip move after first signal. The notification should work whether you entered the trade on the first buy signal or if there's still no trade after the first signal
-For the first signal ,a MA crossover would blink the chart until a
trade is put.
-If no trade chart would blink continuously until the opportunity
fades by crossing your exit strategy.
-Now which blocks tell one if the price has moved 10 pips in
profit since the chart started blinking ?
-Or since the last open trade.
-Lastly , the block ought to be connected to a draw button block.

@l-andorrà How does one create a variable to store the ATR value at open price in the trailing stop each trade and what would be the setting for trailing stop with current ATR value?

Am trying to create an EA with 3 ATR stop loss and 5 ATR take profit , but when an order moves 1 ATR in profit I need the stop loss to move +1 ATR . I couldn't get the right algorithm . Should the trailing stop and stop loss settings be the same or how should the block be customized ?

@l-andorrà A question here... I have managed to build some EAs that actually work. After backtesting in MT4 most have a total negative profit for over a 30 year period . The strategies seem profitable on the chart but the results are always proving wrong . Nevertheless , I've been troubleshooting and some commonalities in the different EAs are ;

a.)Lack of a take profit target.
b.)The results keep showing a tremendous drawdown.
c.)Use of fixed spreads while backtesting.

-Could the ignorance of setting the TP targets be the cause of my strategies to drawdown after having profits ?

-If so what are the best methods of setting the take profits targets in the EA ?

Here's one am trying to work on . It's intended to be used on a 1 mins timeframe . It still works on the buy-sell-buy-sell strategy. For this one , I haven't been able to test a working one but it is a promising one

@len-1 There are many parameters that could have caused that apart from the candle ID . It's better to share the project someone might troubleshoot it faster

@len-1 For a M.A with negative shift use the CANDLE ID 1. It works that way

Does this block set the condition to pass a certain number of times per bar in order for a trade to be opened instead of opening new trades whenever the condition is met everytime for a certain number of time maybe 10 open trades with the same parent trade waiting for the same exit ?

@l-andorrà OK . I don't know why you are using a candle ID with a value of one but it worked . About the second part you can now open a SELL trade using similar method but with the help of a CLOSE TRADES BLOCK just before placing the SELL NOW BLOCK. Use the same blocks pattern for the BUY too.

Now the compounding part A ** FOR EACH TRADE BLOCK** should be used still in connection with the BUY-SELL-BUY-SELL STRATEGY .In the block properties is where you find one of the options to pick is PIPS AWAY FROM THE OPEN PRICE...OF THE CURRENT PARTIALL TRADE . THE PIPS AWAY VALUE TO BE INPUTED , SHOULD BE THE PROFIT VALUE IN PIPS THE MKT HAS MOVED IN ORDER TO OPEN ANOTHER TRADE OF THE SAME TYPE BUT NOW WE CAN ADD TO THE VOLUME OF THE LOT SIZE THUS PROFITING MORE FROM SAME NUMBER OF PIPS HENCE THE COMPUNDING STRATEGY.IN THIS STRATEGY WHILE YOU OPEN THE ADDED TRADES IF IN LONG TERM , THE PARENT TRADE AND OTHER PARTIALL TRADES WOULD STILL BE OPEN WAITING FOR EXIT TO WORK OUT.

@ambrogio The NO TRADE BLOCK restricts to only one SELL trade at a time .For the trade to be effective it must allow more SELL orders. The check trades count block can restrict only a certain number of times but allows other allowing other SELL trades to open until the **EXIT **
