I have a problem with testing my robots on mt5 strategy tester. it is not opening the *exe program. the *.mq5 does work on mq5,
My robots have always worked made with fx dreemer have always worked on the exe programs but recently they are not working and are not openning the settings menu. So i cant set anything.
i have downloading a MT5 program from the website again and onto a new computer but i am still getting the same problem.
Could anyone help?
I have had a look at the FX DREAMER instructions and examples but I need a video or a proper tutorial on how to set the trailing stops and trailing stop blocks its a bit confusing to have both trailing stop and trailing take profits. i use the trailing stop on metatrader but fxdreamer's is a bit more detailed as it is a bit finer in changing the stop loss. I need some diagrams matched with the settings to see what its doing.

I want to set a trailing stop of 40pips and if this passes 40 pips the trade will close if itfalls back to 40 pips. if it goes past 80 pips the trade will close at 80 pips if the proce goes to 120 pips the trade closes at 120pips.
how do i set this ?
AND is it takingstop loss or trailing take profit.
ABD how does trailing take profit work in that case.
@ambrogio and @ramisignals -This is on newly built fresh blocks. However it does appear that there must be bugs in the new blocks because my progrms worked when i made them before last september. I have already used no trade but I wanted it to work with once per tick as it makes more trades.

but "no trade" seems to be all right and I get all profits (positives) which is what i want. Please see the picture.
i am testing this on "no trade" with buy and sell block connected to the orange connector. buy and sell have no stoploss and take profits at whatever i want, slippage does not make a difference.. please see the picture. if the no trade block is exchanged with once per bar once/per tick/or iftrade they give out negatives, ie loss trades which is so annoying. it seems to be worse when trades are closed by close profitable trades.

I am still learning but it looks like king canute. I try to use a good strategy such as sticking to the buy sell advice on investing .com and MA. I am just letting the trade alone until the market comes back through its cycle and to buy only small lots to prevent stopping out. but one has to keep an eye on the amount of money used and margin. I have had to cut out some of mine recently to trade a bit faster.
Hi, I find your rrailing stop loss trailing take profit block confusing. Do you have any examples of how to use the various option in a practical situation?
@ambrogio thanks so much for checking but it is not this. i have a program with the expiration showing and it is still some negatives. all my pograms worked fine a few months ago for mt4 but these made recently are producing negative results. they work alright in mt5.
so i dont know what the problem is. i have had difficulty compiling on the builder page and transferring to mt5 when i build on mt4 but it is only mt4 that is causing the problem even when i build fresh on mt4. i normally build on mt4 first.
that is not the problem because i have it on other programs but i never set it to stop at one hr that is already there. i get positives even if that is there on other projects.
@ambrogio some buy or sell blocks do not work because they allow negatives through. eg this lets all negtives but other projects let through some negatives. very annoying. i have not checked mt5 but its a problem on mt4. https://fxdreema.com/shared/t6rs6R9pd

it is extremely annoying and will lose a lot of money. I have not ventured to use these with real money. Does anyone else have the problem and how is it cured?
