Would there possibly be a way to make a trailing stop that trails the take profit? Example -> As the trade goes towards the designated take profit level the take profit stop will come towards the winning candle and close the trade once reached.

The Trailing Stop block indeed has the option of trailing profit. Don't know if it is what you want

@sktsec yes I have tried that but it is not what I am looking for. What I want is for the take profit to move towards my open position as I gain pips towards take profit.

Then you need a specific structure to do that by using the pink blocks.

I have to say I don't get the point in a trailing TP unless it is a group of trades so the TP is calculating the value of all trades and setting a combined TP. For me, SL works because it trails behind until price reverses

The point is to secure pips. I see a lot of trades my ea takes start off as winners but fail to reach my take profit and my stop loss is set to trail but is ineffective in the long run. It’s good for less loss but I’m trying to secure pips. So I figure having a trailing take profit that adjust as I move towards it is another way to even the odds. Making sure I secure some pips if not the max of what I intended. See what I mean?

Use SL, not TP, the whole point in SL is it trails behind to secure profit, by bringing TP towards the open you are changing the R to R and changing the entire point of the original trade, although moving SL does it is not a close when reached measure, it is a blanket to save losses if price changes direction, otherwise profit will increase until the maximum is reached

I agree with jstap. His approach is far better IMHO.

@jstap I have tried to make a trailing stop but have been unsuccessful, I’ve tried using constants for trail stop, step and start to no avail. I tried the trail stop block. No avail. Am I wrong for having the take profit and stop loss activated in both the buy and sell blocks? Do I need to turn those off in both blocks? Is the trailing stop block supposed to activate by itself and there’s no need to have take profit or stop loss activated in any other blocks such as modify?
