Thanks for resolving the && problem.

Unfortunately build 033 has a serious issue.

      1. I don't seem to be able to edit a title;
      2. previously working EAs get corrupted by it, and although they compile OK even with MT4's own compiler, the journal in MT4 says they are corrupt and must be recompiled, which doesn't fix the problem either.

      I'm reverting back to build 032! 😞

Just to let you know, I have completely removed build 032, searched the registry for "fxdreema" entries and removed them. Tested a backup copy of my EA in MT4, which compiled and ran it fine. Then re-installed 032, edited my EA, re-compiled it, and MT4 says its corrupted.

          😞 😞 😞 !!!

Strange, everything is fine here. What happens if you compile MQL4 file with MetaEditor? Maybe you can come into the chat.

Yes. I was/am compiling with MetaEditor as well as fxDreema.

I seem to have got round the corruption issue. I reverted to an earlier snapshot of my PC when build 031 was installed. I then installed build 033 over it, and the corruption issue seems to have gone away.

That said, I also deleted the .ex4 files, just leaving the .mq4 ones. Then I loaded the EAs by calling them in to fxDreema using "Load project from file", and re-compiled using MetaEditor.

What hasn't gone away is that I can't edit the titles of the blocks. Right click produces the option, but there is no cursor in the heading. This feature worked fine for me in build 032.

In addition I've noticed that if I hit the backspace key in fxDreema I'm dropped out and back to the login screen.

Are you anywhere near resolving the login problem? Its taking anything up to 1/2 an hour to log in, clicking every 15 seconds or so! 😞

I noticed the title problem hours ago and I will maybe create next build because of it. Meanwhile you can use 032.

What do you expect from the backspace button, loading last step in actions history? It's not associated yet and it obviously works like a normal browser Back.

There is a server problem and I'm writing letters to the people that are supposed to take care of it, but I receive copy-paste from Help section answers. MySQL is too slow, but I believe that fxDreema itself does not causing this slowliness to happen. So I'm waiting for someone to repair the server while wondering what else can I do. MySQL is only needed to read user details, but something that should happen in less than 100ms actually happens in more than 10 seconds. And this is so ridiculous. I apologize again for this problem. And I almost decided to move to another hosting, but with this another problems will appear... and I'm stuck 😕

I'm sorry you are having such trouble with your MySQL hosting people. That's a real nuisance for you. Anyway, it isn't putting me off fxDreema! 🙂 And hopefully others will understand too.

I hadn't really thought about the backspace button vis-a-vis browser actions, and of course that makes sense. I only noticed as I was trying to edit the block heading and was expecting to erase character left at the time. I wonder if it should be disabled from doing the browser back function in fxDreema just to avoid user confusion?

I'm a bit worried about moving back from 033 to 032 having had that "corruption" error message from Metatrader earlier today. I'll take a snapshot of my PC and then do it. That way I've got an easy return to where I am now! I do really need the ability to edit the block header, and 032 had a problem with && in a custom code block, if you recall! So I'm slightly between a rock and a hard place! 🙂

Thanks for your great support for fxDreema.

Download and install 033 again, I reuploaded it. Let's say that it is 033a now.

The backspace issue... it seems that this button is hard to disable or reassign, because it is used by the browser itself to move back the websites, which is maybe something that is not a good idea to be allowed to change. But if I find a way to make something with it, I will.

By the way, I know that there are some problems that appear when User Account Control is enabled. I have seen some crazy things. But personally I don't use it, it is turned off on my system, so I can tell that there are virtually no mysterious problems happened to me. I really don't have an answer why UAC is needed, for me it is something that should be abandoned, but it appears on the newest Windows (after XP). So if you have UAC enabled, I can suggest that you turn it off.

The ability to edit text of an HTML element directly is new, it's part of the newest HTML5. And it's working... almost... with some strange behaviour. When you can see that the cursor is inside the field, then backspace is used as going back in the text, as expected.

.ex4 file is corrupted when something is changed to it's raw code. But I was doing nothing about this in the last days. Even more, the local version actually creates .mq4 file, then it uses the local metalang.exe (part of MetaTrader 4) to turn it into .ex4. So I don't have an idea how fxDreema itself can corrupt that file. But of course, I can miss something...
Also, these days I was more focused on the Javascript part (how to make many blocks to load faster) and authentication part (how to make the platform to work with slow or none MySQL). So I suppose that this is one of these problems that happens on one PC but doesn't on other.

Thank you for "033a"! Seems to be OK now.

Thank you also for the background information. Most interesting. I was aware of UAC issues. I'm not using it.

                        Thanks again.

                        🙂
