I just discovered OpenCL : https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/690#NVidia
and I wondered if any of you use this for optimization ?
If so, how ? I guess that you would have to download MQ5 file and add it manually
It would be a blast if fxDreema would have this option included when generating

I had no idea about it, so never tested it, of course. I guess you will have to do it manually, as you say. I don't think this is an option for fxDReema right now. But maybe you can suggest it to the admin.

Reviving an old thread - any chance someone has been able to implement this? I have a few GPU's and this would greatly help me optimize my parameters! @fx-dreema

I thought MT5 would use OpenCL automatically.

I just use MT5 optimalization couples of times and it showed that CL was used.

I used 13700H without dedicated GPU

My MT5 optimization has been incredibly slow the last few days. Optimizing a single parameter now takes 5-6 times as long as it did a week ago with 0 code changes. Unsure if there was something that happened in the latest MT5 build or if my PC is crashing... Was just looking for a potential way to increase performance, as I have a lot of GPUs laying around.

Are you also experiencing slow MT5 performance? I can't seem to find the cause. I hooked up my laptops to the local network and even they are crawling, making me think it's not my PC and must be a MT5 issue. Google hasn't been useful here...

@sktsec Found out it was the build version. Build 4040 works well, the latest demo build 4057 has a terribly slow strategy tester.
