What methods are people liking for this?

I'm trying to get MA (and others) candle cross down, by using the cross over tool but it just doesn't seem to work properly...

Anyone else tried this?

There is no magic solution for that, I'm afraid. I prefer to adjust my initial stop loss as much as possible and then using a trailing stop. But That's because that is the way I like to trade, of course.
