moving average crossover

please write how would i do a moving average crossover buy or sell where i want to make sure the moving average crosses over a certain distance past the other moving average? I cant figure it out.. please help. is it in the id? is it in the shift? the value? please explain

actually i ran that in a test.. and checked the chart... what +(x) pips do in the adjust field is not put the trade in for that many candies after the cross.. that's not the same as trade executing 4 pips after it crosses

@mrfilthy11 Please remember that 'crossing' is not a real thing in MT4. What a human observer can see as a two lines crossing on chart doesn't have a mathematical reality behind. Lines are formed by dots on each candle position. That means a 'crossing' happens when values of both lines are one above the other when compared to the previous candle. Crossings are visual artifacts in MT4/5.
