Trailing Stop based on Risk to Reward ratios
-
Hey im looking to setup an ea that has a trails stop based on the original risk that moves secures one R at a time. So when the trade is in profit 1:1 the stop would be moved to breakeven when profit is 1:2 stop moved to 1:1, when profit is 1:3 stop it moved to 1:2. etc.. until trade is stopped out..
is this possible?

@pippusher618 Yes, it is, but some more info would be appreciated. Can you please provide some numerical examples?

@l-andorrà YOUR ALWAYS SUCH A BIG HELP THANK YOU ....
Ok so for example I have a stop under a candle 10 pips away from the entry. Once my trade is in profit 10pips the stop should move to break even. If that same trade is now 20 pips in profit the stop should move to 10 pips in profit. if it keeps going in my favor and hits 30 pips in profit stops should move to 20 pips in profit and so on....
Now if my stops were just a set number of pips this would be easy for me to do but since not idk. I read the % of opposite stop dropdown but it just confused me

Yes but that is for the entry lot size. i'm talking about a trailing stop once trade goes into profit.
So for example if I use this on the entry im risking 2.5% of equity on the orignal stop, right? now if the trade goes against me I'll lose 2.5%.- However if the trade goes in my favor 2.5% (1:1 Risk to Reward) I want the stop to be moved to break even.
- If the trade continues to go in my favor and is in profit 5% (1:2 Risk to Reward) I want the stop to be moved to 2.5% in profit (1:1 Risk to Reward).
- If the trade continues to go in my favor and is in profit 7.5% (1:3 Risk to Reward) I want the stop to be moved to 5% in profit (1:2 Risk to Reward).
- If the trade continues to go in my favor and is in profit 10% (1:4 Risk to Reward) I want the stop to be moved to 7.5% in profit. (1:3 Risk to Reward)
Continues until its stopped out or take profit is reached
You see what I mean? In theory I want to lock in some profit as the trade is running in my favor.

@pippusher618 Of course not, man!
I just selected the display menus for you to know them. I didn't change the values offered by default. Just type your values there.

... I've tried different combos but doesnt seem to work as planned -
@l-andorrà Bro can you please tell what numbers would work the way I explained I tried different ways can't get it...

@pippusher618 I guess you wil need a whole block structure, not that trailing stop block alone. I see yuo want to combine trailing stop and break even. Am i right?
