How does the emergency STOP feature work in fxdreema project options?
-
Hello
Can I have some more info on how that feature works? I understand the virtual stop but how do I set emergency stops and what is the behaviour?
thanks -
I'm Not sure but i think means it will stop EA to works
-
I get that bit but I want some clarity on how the options work. In what circumstance does it kick in and what does the timeout mean etc

@jzfusion Emergency stops are real SL and TP that can be placed when Virtual Stops are used. If you are using normal hard stops, there are no emergency stops available. Virtual stops are horizontal lines only and the EA detects when to close the trade, but in case of internet or PC problems, emergency stops can be placed at some distance from virtual ones.

@l-andorrà Great explantion. What is the trigger? I mean how does the EA know when it needs to be triggered?
-
@jzfusion That I'm not complete sure of because I neves used them. This explanation is what I know the are supposed to do, but neves tested it. My best suggestion is just try them and look!

@l-andorrà
The documentation says it's used to protect trades in case of issues with internet connections and trading platforms. But it will be good if @fxDreema could give us some more information on the conditions that creates the emergency stop trigger.
Essentially you use the virtual stops to hide your real stops and then use the emergency stop as a backup. An excellent idea indeed but I'll be more comfortable if I know what triggers it. -
Also in an old post @fxDreema mentions that virtual stops are not supported for MT5 I suppose it's not the case because it worked for me. He also mentions that emergency stops are placed some distance away from the virtual stops. The reason why virtual stops are attractive is merely to hide from bad brokers trying to stop you out. If emergency stops are used will the broker only see them once the trgger condition has activated them?

@jzfusion I have no idea. I suggest you to ask that directly to the admin. He'll not reply soon, but he will for sure.
