      Hello,

I was wondering if my virtual take profit (T/P) and stop loss (S/L) will still work outside of my time filter's parameters since my time filter is above both of my buy / sell now conditions which house the T/P and S/L. Since they're virtual T/P's and S/L's I know that the robot keeps track of this rather than the broker which is why I'm asking.

Will my virtual T/P and S/L still work outside of my time filter's parameters?

      Thanks! 0_1640399805880_Capture - Copy.PNG

When you buy or sell you do it at a certain price with a certain TP and was SL (level or distance) set when you open your order. If TP or SL is hit it will execute whether your time filter passes or not.
What is the difference between a TP/SL and a "virtual" one?

If you go under the “options” tab on your FxDreema build, it will allow you to enable a virtual stop (a take profit and stop loss that is hidden from the broker). This prevents the broker from knowing your stop loss and take profit. The virtual stop works as a horizontal line on the chart. If the robot hits this line then the trade will close (rather than relying on the broker to execute your take profit or stop loss). There is a horizontal line for a take profit and one for a stop loss; both are painted onto the chart immediately when the trade is executed.

My question is if this horizontal line will still work outside of the time filter parameter since technically it is created from the buy now and sell now conditions which are just below the time filter. I’m assuming it should still work (granted that the horizontal lines are immediately painted onto the chart), but I would like to double check and make sure.

@sinister I believe you are right and they will still work, the time filter stop's all blocks underneath working.

@sinister wow I didn't know about this! Thanks I'll give it a try. Aren't you able to verify this on a backtest?
