How to create new stoploss and take profit
-
@Hits You can do it this way in the 'on trade'. In this example, i did it for buys only:

However, jstap is right. Almost no broker will allow you to do that close to the open price.

@l-andorrà
I understand. I did contact my broker and they said I would be able to. They also said the max SL can be to the bid/ask price, I -0.1 pips. Which I what I’m trying to do.
Btw, does this example when its executed in mt5? -
I think you have been shown how, put the number in the buy/sell block. On trade tab-order created-pink for each-pink modify stop
-
@jstap
Same for sells too, right? -
@Hits Yes
-
@jstap Hello, I tried this, my orders didn't change. Idk if im doing something wrong. Can i see if it worked on your meta trader?

What do you think this is doing when an order is created?
-
@jstap
Isn’t it recognizing pending orders are placed? -
Yes but my point was when it's placed, what do you want the next blocks to do?
-
@jstap
Modify the SL -
How? The blocks on the right will do nothing. When doing things on FX it is often quite logical, if this happens - do this - then do this - then do this, if you follow this logical process you will get the result you want
-
@jstap
How to I make it modify the sl after the pending orders are placed? Idk what to do after. -
Why just set it where you want
-
@jstap
Because with my strategy it has to happen when the order is placed.
Unless there’s another way to make the stoploss move closer to bid/ask by a certain amount of pips. -
Is this placed by the EA or manually?
-
@jstap
By buttons, because i couldn’t figure out how to do them automatically. -
You will not be able to place a SL closer if the original order wouldn't do it
-
@jstap
What do you mean?
