EA switch ON or OFF

I have an EA that runs continuously. Is there a way to have an ON/OFF 'button' on the screen so that I can start/stop the EA as or when I want to (e.g. going on vacation)? Thanks.

The normal way is to just remove it from the chart or add it. Or use this wide button in MetaTrader. It can also be programmed to react on a button... but really?...
