    • RE: Can't change input parameters when expert is loaded

When I'm in the builder and my mouse is over the input box it says "set input parameters for optimizing: double *"

Not sure if this is the one I'm looking for, but I tried typing in "double", "double ", "double" but none of these work. Nothing happens when I try to load the expert whenever I have these typed in the parameter box. Is there a way I can manually type in certain parameters when the expert is loaded so I dont have to keep going to the builder and rewrite and download them? Thank you.

    • RE: Need help filtering trades

Hi, my ea is based on buying when MACD crosses above and selling when MACD crosses below.

I am able to make this work: When the MACD crosses above, buy if no trade is running or close sell trades and buy. (and vice versa)

This is how it looks like: https://fxdreema.com/shared/4bQjL25Qd

However that would close profitable trades too early and open too many trades.

Right now I want it to work like this: When the MACD crosses above but I have a sell trade running, if the sell trade is not profitable, it will close the sell trade and open a buy trade, however if the sell trade is on profit, then it would not buy. (and vice versa). This also means that there should always only be 1 trade running.

This is the current setup I have: https://fxdreema.com/shared/nOuzbzuuc
What it does is when a crossover occurs it closes losing trades, but it opens a trade whenever a crossover occurs, buys and sells. So I have multiple buy and sell orders at once.

Please suggest the blocks that I should use or correct any mistakes in my setups.

      Thank you.

    • RE: Trailing pending orders not working

Hi, I changed it and it's working now. It's not working the way I wanted it to be tho. If the pending orders (stops and limits) are above the current market price, it only trails downwards as the market goes down. When the market goes up, the pending orders will get hit.

How do I set it so that the pending orders trail in both ways? Which means that the pending orders will always maintain a distance from the current market and will never get hit.

I will include a filter (Once every bar/minute) so during market spike when news are released, the pending orders will get hit. But right now I need the pending orders to trail in both direction.

      Thank you.

    • RE: Trailing pending orders not working

Hi, the motive of this ea is to capture rapid market movements during major news events, (e.g. Non-farm payroll).

I will be manually placing the pending orders (buy stops and sell stops).

      1. Once I've placed my pending orders, the ea should immediately detect and automatically place a stop-loss for the pending orders.

      2. For every minute, (each time a new 1 minute candlestick opens), the ea should adjust the pending orders (buy stop and sell stop) to be 20 pips away from the current market price.

      3. Once pending orders are triggered and the trade is 20 pips in profit, stop loss will be moved to break even.

Below is the link to the ea I've made but doesn't seem to work. Would you kindly identify the problem? Thank you.
