Is it possible to use an entry condition from an existing EA directly in a MQL block of fxDreema?

For example, if the EA uses neural networks, when it gives the signal, to use fxDreema for the rest of the trade condition - so how many lots to enter, take profit, stop loss etc...

p.s have you thought about a version of fxDreema we can buy outright?

I would like to add one more feature as important as a custom indicator builder...

A standalone version. That is a version of fxdreema which you can buy outright. Sometimes internet connection is not available which makes it impossible to use fxdreema.

I would not mind paying a larger premium to buy fxdreema outright, and paying for updates for new versions.

I definitely think pages is a great idea. So a group of blocks will show up in different tabs, kind of like in a web browser. That would save a huge amount of clutter in a single page, especially if a strategy has many blocks.

A built in back tester! Yes!! How about one that incorporates genetic algorithms and walk forward analysis? From a business point of view, this would attract a lot of people.

An indicator builder is actually quite simple. It would only need a handful of blocks to implement. A formula block, and then a set of options blocks for how the indicator should paint on the chart. Most indicators are very basic formulas. All a builder needs is an option on how to display this formula - whether its a line, bar, arrows, or text - and whether to display it on the main chart, or as a separate window. Each object on the indicator would have its own formula block.

The best example for this is the software that is closest to fxdreema, that uses blocks as well. You know which program I mean? It's on the fxdreema alternatives page of this site! I think you could easily improve this. I have many ideas on what would be a perfect indicator builder!

I'm not sure if rebuilding fxdreema from scratch is worth your time! But I do understand what you mean!

I hope you know you have created arguably the best visual coder for MQL4 - and I've tried almost all of them!
Its actually more powerful than a certain Swiss bank's visual builder for their Java platform in many ways...no easy task. Its also the best looking EA builder. 8-)

%(#8000BF)[For me, the most important things in a program (whatever it is, not just an EA builder) are:]

1. Powerful and versatile - it must be capable of doing almost anything a user can imagine within the confines of that field.

2. Easy to learn - Some programs are very powerful, but the steep learning curve is not worthwhile if its not something that is to be used daily.

3. Regularly updated - There are some great old programs, that unfortunately have become outdated, and so cannot be relied on in the future because of compatibility issues, and lack of new features.

4. Affordable - There is no point having a powerful easy to use software that cannot be afforded!

5. GUI (Graphical User Interface) - This is probably the most overlooked aspect in my view! No one really likes to work with a program that looks like it was created in the 1980s! There is something truly pleasurable working with a slick looking program!

6. Speed - Everything has to work very quickly, no lag, no freezing, no slowing down a high spec computer to the point that you are slowed down by the program.

7. It must always work - Last but by no means least, its easily the most important! All of the above would be rendered completely useless if the program was buggy, behaves erratically, produces undesired results, is unstable, or keeps crashing.

So far so good! I will most definitely be subscribing to support your work.

A custom indicator builder!

In other words a wizard that allows you to point and click everything you want the indicator to show, and all you have to do is type the formula for the lines/bars/arrows....etc that you want displayed....

....then a set of blocks in fxDreema that enables you to trade on things that appear on the indicator....like a cross over, or an arrow or line appearing, a bar changing colour etc.

For me, tweaking the formulas of existing indicators is vital to gain an edge, and in reality, 90% of technical indicators are just very mild modifications of others. If you look at the formulas of technical indicators, you can see that usually only one operator was added/modified/subtracted.

I know many traders have ideas on how to improve an indicator, but they have never tried because of the difficulty of programming the indicator, even though they may know the formulas they need to input.

Yes slowly I am picking up things. I realise a lengthy documentation is not viable, but perhaps a very brief explanation of each option inside a block on the questionmark bar would have been ideal, even if the option seems self explanatory. For example I had no idea what freeze % did till searching this thread....hence I arrived here.

I am very impressed so far with fxdreema. Light years ahead of the competition in terms of capabilities, and I've tried most of them.

Im thinking of starting a new thread with everything I like about fxdreema and suggestions.

I think if fxdreema had the capability of making custom indicators, it would be pretty close to perfect!

In terms of the gui, simply beautiful.

I am most excited about the studio that allows creation of custom blocks. This has the potential to be very powerful.

Ok (1) and (2) done! I've found the Origin of trades bar for two blocks. Are these the only blocks that have them?

UPDATE: I've seen the origin of trade bars on other blocks too now!

I appreciate you taking the time to help me out. I hope to return the favour once I have a hang of this software!

I checked everywhere in fxDreema for an 'origins of trade bar'. Is this something that is actually labelled somewhere? (1) Where can I find it! (2)

I know it must be tedious, but if you could explain things to me how you would a child, that would be awesome!

I've realised I need to read a manual or something! Is one available that explains all the settings for the blocks? I know many parts are very intuitive, but as I've only been playing around with this for a few days, I'm finding a slight learning curve is involved.

For example, if I place a 'For each trade' block....does this mean that it will execute whatever is 'underneath' this block for every trade? (3) Or just the ones connected to this block? (4) Or does it have anything to do with this 'group'. (5)

I would like every trade I enter to have two stop loss at two separate predetermined levels. Can I do this by using the 'for each trade block' or is that not what it is meant for? (6)

Do the blocks work like a logic tree? (7)

Other than that, my first impressions have been positive, I will be signing up for the membership in the next few days.

The million dollar question is....have your EA's worked as expected when built on fxDreema? (8)
