    • RE: Crossover Block

Thanks for your advice, but am looking to check the next 5 bars (any of them). Candle ID 5 will refer to the past 5th bar?

    • Crossover Block

Hi, I am working on a EMA crossover strategy, whereby a trade is opened when:

      1. EMA20 crosses above EMA50, AND
      2. After this cross, any of the next 5 bars should be totally above the 2 EMAs

Which block should I use to create criteria 2)? Thanks in advance!

    • Candle ID for ATR indicator

Hello! Can someone enlighten me in this -I have an EA which will enter a trade upon the start of a new candle based on ATR. Is my understanding correct that-

      1. if the candle ID for my ATR indicator is 1 (previous candle), the EA will refer to the ATR value of the previous closed candle?

      2. if the candle ID for my ATR indicator is blank (0 by default, means current candle), the EA will refer to the ATR value of the current forming candle?

      3. if point 2) is true, since my EA only opens once per bar at each start of a new candle (and never in the middle of a forming candle), this means that the ATR value referred to in point 2) will be the one at the very point when the new candle just formed?

      Many thanks in advance!

    • Do not trade for x hours after a winning trade is closed

Hi, which blocks should I use such that there won't be any trades x hours after a profitable trade has closed? After x hours, the EA resumes. Thank you!

    • Leaving Candle ID Blank

Dear all, if I leave 'Candle ID' blank, which candle will it refer to (i.e. 0,1,2,3 etc) by default? Thank you!

    • RE: No trade on multiple EAs

@trader-philipps thanks for your advice! Right now they all have different magic numbers. Does it mean that if I only want 1 open trade at a time for the pair (across all the timeframes which the EAs are running one), I should set the same magic number for all these EAs?

    • No trade on multiple EAs

Hello, I have muliple EAs running on the same pair, all with a 'No trade' condition so that there's only 1 open trade at a time. With this setup, will any of the EA 'detect' an open trade made by the other EA and not open a trade even if condition is met? My EAs are on the same pair, different timeframes. Thank you!

    • Max trades per bar

Dear pros, is there a way to set a max number of trades per bar? Something like the function 'once per bar', but I would like it to be more than 1.
