    • Draw line with specific "angles"

Hi i am back into fxdreema trying to test some its capabilities yet again, i was wondering if we could draw a line that is neither vertical or horizontal but rather follows a certain angle.
does anybody here have any idea on how we could proceed in this ? does MQL5 program language even allows such freedom as this ?
as you can see i am rethinking its uses as platform, if anyone has any guesses or any kind of inputs please let me know.

    • RE: Hello The robot works great in the test, but in reality and on the Rail account, because of the spread and commission, etc., it does not perform well, what solution do you suggest? Malfunctioning of the robot in the real account

check the use real ticks, also you can add commission costs and spreads in the back testing.

    • The issue isnt just your EA, it is also your Broker.

Hi, after almost a year i have decided to move away from Trading. i didn't put in a lot of money but still it was quiet some money so i am still not happy with this outcome for obvious reasons.

Anyhow, the EA you are going to make, assuming that the market works in an inherently coherent way(Patterns or models) and there isn't huge competition in this market(Currency Exchange bureau's or banks), it is still not enough for you to be successful.

The truth is your broker isn't really your friend, they will do what works best for them. they will not necessarily steal your money but they will surely open or close some trades in undesired price levels and put the blame on the unavailability of the price.

further inquiries with the customer service will lead you to nowhere. if you want to make profit in this market you would need insider contacts or information. which is what the successful ones are doing but are not telling.

Also if you are relying on technical analysis alone then you are clearly, clearly still on the deep end of Plato's cave.

Technical Analysis is simply the cherry on top of the real fundamental analysis.

well that's about it. now i just don't know what to do with all this knowledge that i have gathered.
what do you guys suggest ? become another trading guru for the newbies and make a buck with it or what ?

    • RE: BackTesting different from live trading

@Alan-paredes2 my strategy was consistently making profits on the monthly net profit level in backtesting.
its not an issue of strategy, its unlikely, when i went live with it the bot was running on a VPS. latency less than 15ms. same parameters.

i was trading the GOLD. it made profits, but the net result was negative, meaning i lost.

the sole purpose of making EA's was to automatically make and manage trades.

@GeoFX thanks for you inputs !

i am using spread filters, that's why i backtest with spread modification to make sure it is working.

thanks for the TF advices, you make some really good points.

    • BackTesting different from live trading

Hi, i have being able to build a successful EA, makes more than 15% of profit per month but this is only back testing results. when it went live, its like a different EA. rather than making money i have lost money.

why do backtesting results differ from the live trading records ?

this isnt something specific to Fxdreema based EA's, but also other EA's on the market.
they simply do not behave similary as on backtesting. which is really odd

note: spread and latency are always modified on the backtesting to make it more realistic.

now that i have seen the post made by @fxdreema on the poor countries poor people i realized that there could be more to this, altough, i really hope it wasnt an empty dream since three important things was put into this whole project, my time, effort and money.

    • What is the best scalper EA that you have come across?

Hello everyone, i hope you are having a profitable week start.

i was thinking about scalper EA's and whether someone could advise me on a good performing EA either from their own making or in the MQ5 market place based on their own experience.

      feel free to Direct Message.

    • RE: Close Partial and Modify Stop help

if what you is to close some lots as the price moves in for your favor then my solution was this

just create as much sell/buy orders you want with different TP. no need to make it too complicated imo

    • Closing lots gradualy

Lets say we open a BUY trade of 0.35 lots and we want 0.25 lots to be closed after reaching 200 pips in profit and the other after reaching 300 pips.

      what blocks to use?
