      Edit 28.Dec: Don't send me transaction IDs for now. And if you are working on new projects, at the end of the work download the .mq4 and .mq5 files from them.

      The worst thing happened. Big parts of the database are lost after someone gained access to the database and deleted it. Unfortunately I don't have a recent backup, especially the projects and the payments history. I restored some very old projects and the forum as it was 6 months ago. User profiles registered after that point are gone, this is almost 9500 profiles (including some spambots). I had a backup of the forum from 6 months ago, but since then all user profiles are gone.

      How it happened? Few days ago I was installing some script and I wanted to open a port of it so I can use it remotely, but I accidentally left all ports opened. The database did not have a password, so basically it was opened to the world.

      I'm really sorry for what happened, it was all because of my negligence. Now there is a damage I can't undo.

      Anyone who has downloaded .mq4 ot .mq5 files of his project can import them and work on them again.

      Because the recent users and payments history are gone, it will be hard for me to restore the payments. For now I will leave it free for all, until I restore the payments. Sometimes PayPal/Stripe emails match the user's email here in the website and I may try to restore some of these payments. But if you have paid and I don't know who you are, better send me the transaction number of the payment in email or here as a personal message. I will give extra time to everyone. I still don't know how much, but in this topic we can discuss that. Or, you can ask me for a refund. Keep in mind that all of this will take time.

      So, for those of you who paid with PayPal or Stripe, send me the transaction number. And for the crypto payments

        That's ok. nobody's perfect. at least, lesson learned.. I just hope things will get back to normal soon.. i loaded my most recent backup (though not the latest but, i can start from there), BUT its NOT loading when i import it from my PC...?

            • Project history is gone
            • The worst thing, my project MQL backup doesn't upload from PC...nightmare
            • Dear @fxDreema no worries. I believe the community will support you. Shit happens, that's why keeping backups is important. It's all good as long as we could fix this back.

                damn...thats a lot of projects..gone. well, what can you do? we all make mistakes, just hope you learn from them. traders know how to take a loss. Just have to keep moving forward. thanks for the update.

                        and for membership data, where we can send you the proof of payment in the past so we can re-activate it for us?

                              @fxDreema Ok I understand. How about it for now? I lost 100 days left in account including my commercial project. Unless you fix the system to make it more secure. Will you do something with the victims?

                                A lapse in judgement, happens to the best of us. Luckily I backed up most of my major projects. Please keep us posted regarding importing projects and our subscriptions (we have proof from payment vendors). It will be some work but I believe I can reconstruct my recent projects, other members can too (hopefully).

                                  i have tried the import function but that didn't work. pls make it work then we are all good. then next step is all active paid members can send you the proof of payment to reactivate their membership again.

                                    I see, the import doesn't work for some reason. I don' know why. I will try to fix it.

                                      Yes, all .mq4 and .mq5 files contain a copy of the project in them at the bottom as a comment. But right now the import functionality doesn't work for some reason.

                                        You state that we can upload our files however this is currently broken. I am unable to delete an uploaded file or view it.

                                          I agree with @FXTraderCon that the import function is paramount - if we can get this restored then I imagine most of the serious users would have their issues sorted, albeit with slightly old code. Then it's just a matter of proving to you our subscription status.

                                          I'm sure you've already thought of these questions going forward, so I'd love to hear your thoughts if you wouldn't mind sharing:

                                          1. Will there be more regular backups in the future?
                                          2. And what steps will there be to safeguard from human error?

                                          The general feeling I get from this forum, at least those who have posted, is that we understand mistakes happen, so don't beat yourself up too much - let's fix and move forward.

                                          P.S. since we're talking subscription, is there any interest in lifetime subscriptions?
