The new Draw Arrow Block is too complicated for me. I can not get it to draw an arrow to indicate when two simultaneous conditions were true at end of candle 1.

I want to draw one arrow at beginning of 0 candle. How do I do that?

I have been looking at some indicators online that use .dll's to speed them up.These are installed in the "libraries" section of the Mt4 installation.

If I upload only the mq4 indicator file to My Indicators will that be enough for fxdreema to use to make the EA?

You have created a really neat application that will be very powerful once I learn more. Could you please help me with variables?

I have read the Help Documentation about variables and the explanation of a Formula and the resulting "Result1" but I am still not able to figure out how that Result1 turns into a variable and then place it in a block.

For my current little project I want to create a grid using the Buy Grid block and I want the first buy stop open order at the Offset Distance created by the ATRChannel indicator for the prior bar. The second variable I need would be the Grid Size parameter which would be the ATR indicator results for the prior bar which I will have to multiply by 10000 to make it a pip size number. I am new to Lightshot too but here are two screen shots of my current project.

When you have time could you show me how to make variables with formulas and then load them in the parameter fields?

I have made a few forum bookmarks but do not see how to review them. How do I do that?

I will be subscribing to the service soon when I have more time to work with it.

I think fxDreema is very busy now with his other interests and probably does not want to take on any more coding burdens. The most important thing for me is the ability for non programmers to be able to create EA's. So for me the indicator creator would not be a priority but if fxDreema had time in the future it would be handy but not necessary.

The newest MT4 is actually Build 568 from 26 Dec 2013 and here is how to get it:

• Try to login, with server field set to demo.metaquotes.net:444 (with no success)
• Apply for a new account, with the demo.metaquotes.net:444 server selected.
• Shut down the terminal. Reopen this installation of terminal. Update of beta commences and you'll get the new beta installed.

If needed, restart it once more. What is different now is that experts are located in "MQL4/Experts" folder, so I'm gonna make fxDreema aware of that. I still don't know what problems can come from that MT4 update, but at least I checked function calls - they are normally fast![/quote:1l61polk]

fxDreema I am worried that much of your hard work building this wonderful application will have to be redone to be compatible with the new versions of Metatrader. I am not a programmer and so do not know how significant it is, but reading the forum link you posted it seems that this new terminal could be a problem. Or, maybe not, maybe something to your benefit. After reading some of the forum content at mql4 forum specifically about iCustom not working with the new terminal worries me. Being able to find free indicators and then try to implement them into trading ideas is the fun part. How will this new terminal affect all the work you have already done?

fxDreema is there a way of creating the absolute value of a variable?

For example: The absolute value of (3-5)=2

I want to take the difference of the current bar(0) close from the close 10 bars ago and make it so that all are positive in case they are negative after subtracting.

You do realize don't you that "optimizing" that many parameters (variables) will find out what was best for the past and not what might work in the future? I read somewhere that the most successful systems are those with the fewest optimized variables. This ea must be a Guiness World Record for quantity of variables

Using the web version I made this diagram. I am trying to have the weekly time frame filter trades for other shorter "current" time periods. When the weekly indicator is up then only hourly or 4H trades will be taken. To test it so far I want to show up or down arrows associated with periods of time filtered by the weekly indicator result.

Do I download the ex4 file and install it in EA folder and run it when the markets are open or can I use strategy tester to see it in action in the past?

I was wanting to install the local version today, however, when I went to the download link after logging into the site I got some strange behavior. I clicked on download link and my antivirus then flagged the download as possible virus. I had determined before today to ignore the antivirus warning and be brave (or foolish) and try to install local version. I did this twice within 15 minutes. Both times the antivirus quarantined something but it is not named fxdreema. The antivirus notifies me of the quarantine and suggests that I contact the server administrator. When I look at them inside the quarantine they each have what appears to be randomized alpha numeric names but with a (.exe) part at the end.

Now later today when I try to download I get message from the browser that "connection to server has been reset". What is going on?

I guess the server administrator is you. So fxdreema how can I download and try the local version? I tend to be the paranoid type and it would make me mad that some computer geek in New York City (where you said your server is located) is stealing code (especially my code!) and passing it on to his friends in the financial district of NYC. Please excuse me for my self aggrandizement.

I think that I have some good ideas (don't we all :)) that if implemented in code would make me money. Don't you think in general you should have https enabled on your site? The reason I or anyone that develops financial algorithms do not want to share their algorithm with the world which is what is happening now with the web version is that the inefficiency of the market that the algorithm exploits would be quickly dissolved if the "Big Boys" start using it as well. Why make it so easy for them to steal? They will essentially front run trades to lessen my profit.

When I try to download the file my antivirus software flags the file as a virus. Why would that be?
