    • RE: Previous Indicators Data

Thank you SO much for your kind attention to our requests.

I have a custom indicator that I am using for this that only draws the MACD Signal line. But, let's say you useda standard MACD. Opening that in a "normal" trading chart will place the MACD in its own window.

Now, when you place a Moving Average in that same window, you can indicate this choice by the "Previous Indicators Data". The way that MA acts is very different from the same settings on the candlestick trading chart. This is the behavior that I need for testing between the Signal Line of the MACD and the MA, as I am looking for a cross over and a cross under between these two lines.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

      Thank you,

      Dwight

    • RE: Close only one trade

      (Found what was going on)..

I have conditions for the close... The EA closes the first trade... but the conditions are still true, so it closes the second trade too.

In this case, it would be the last one I opened. 🙂

I enter the trade with two entries, each at 1/2 of the amount that I would ideally use. Then, when one of the indicators has turned down (or up), I want to close one of them. If I must pick which one, then I would pick the most recent one. I actulally do not care which is closed.

How do I go about closing one trade. I am opening two and want to close one of them under certain circunsatances.

I have tried to use "close trade" and "close less profitable trade" but both of them get closed.

      Thanks,

      Dwight

Thank you for that find on the MA_MODE...

      However,
One of the indicator parameters is missing from the screen... ma_RISOMA_MODE.

Should I be able to just manually modify the code to include that value?

    • RE: More on custom idicators

      Two questions:

I am using the indicator tester to verify the buffers to use. There are five colors for the indicator RSI0MA_V2 (indicator is attached).

Here is a picture showing the outcome that I get (always zero) by setting the value of Indicator Mode to 5: Buffer 5 which is where I expect to see the value show up. http://prntscr.com/6vt0r3

I do not understand how to make this project shared. So, I am attaching a copy of my settings for the indicator tester here: http://prntscr.com/6vt2tm

BTW, setting the value of Indicator Mode to 1: Buffer 1 does give me the value of the blue line from the RSIOMA_V2 indicator.

If I put block 3, 4 & 5 on and then realize they should be under block 6, is that still valid? If not, how are blocks in the project renumbered?

      Thanks Very Much

      Hi,

I am very excited about the fxDreema system. How cool it is.

Just to kick off my learning so I do not have to piece the parts together. I work so much better from a comprehensive example than from the parts. Just the way my brain works.

      Thanks,

      Hi Radoslav,

Thank you for your quick reply. Ha... now that I go back into my fxDreema project I see that the two indicators that I supplied are available for use? 😆

The question I have related to EX4 indicators is this: How do I use one in a block within fxDreema when I do not know how to send the inputs or receive the outputs since I do not have the source code (MQ4)?

      Thank you.

    • RE: Indicator Tester Block Usage

I am attempting to add my first custom indicator using the Indicator Tester block.
      Two questions:

      1. I click on "Click here to add customer indicators" and add my indicators (2 of them). I click UPDATE on the "add new indicator screen" after finding them on my disk and adding them. I close the "add new indicator screen" using the top-right "X" button. The indicator tester continues to display "there are no custom indicators yet." Can you tell me what step I am missing?

      2. I noticed someplace that there is a notice about EX4 files, suggesting that we review the bottom half of a page (I can no longer seem to find the link): Can you tell me what mechanism can we use to use EX4 files? Do we somehow need to create a wrapper around them?

      Thank you,
      Dwight
