    • RE: HELP ANYONE PLEASE! Trade with Fibo Retracement EA

But you don't limit trades in any way. Whatever the Fibo value is, the EA just starts to create Buy or Sell trades on every tick 😮

Otherwise I just checked it, by deault Fibonacci Level 0 is line 0.0, Level 1 is line 23.6, Level 2 is line 38.2 and so on. Those lines can be customized, you can put line that is different than 23.6 and probably because of that when you want to read the object, you refer lines by their ID, not by their % value.

Don't look for the next candle. While you are in the current candle, check MAs in the previous candle. There is parameter "Candle ID" to select on which candle to work.

Well, in fact it doesn't run very quick on my laptop. Note that for optimization some features of MetaTrader doesn't work. I don't remember exactly, but I think that the work with objects is limited. Maybe something from the EA does not work because of MetaTrader 4 limitations.

      Look:

    • RE: Hedged Trades

"No trade" and other blocks have some filters inside. Basically trades can be filtered by Group (which translates to the Magic Number), type (Buy, Sell) or symbol. How can you distinguish those "hedged" trades from the others? If you can do it by one of these filter settings, then do it.

    • RE: OPEN/CLOSE/OPEN/CLOSE/OPEN/CLOSE INFINITY! and TRADE COUNT

Maybe the conditions to open a trade and then close it are the same. Crossover conditions can be true for many ticks while the candle closes. This is how the crossovers in "Condition" works: https://fxdreema.com/demo/mt4-crossover-indicators

Your blocks have wrong names 🙂

I think you want to do something like this: https://fxdreema.com/demo/mt4-buy-sell- ... conditions

I guess the variable has datatype "int", which is the datatype for whole numbers. Set it as "double" for this variable.

    • RE: Stop when losing

It depends. If you want to deal with each trade individually, then put SL, use Trailing stop or do something with "For each Trade". If we are talking for a group of trades, then "Check current unrealized profit -> Close trades" or check the global equity/balance/profit of the account (in "Condition - Account") and then a"Close trades".

But there are 100+ blocks. I need to know how your strategy works in order to say what is wrong in it. For me even 20 blocks are much. You may think that because you know everything in your strategy, I should also know it, but I am not God. You know the whole strategy because you are working on it probably for months, but for me it means nothing. What if I show you 131 rows of code, will you understand it in 5 minute? Of couse no.

While optimizing, negative results are discarded, only when the EA is profitable you can see results. I think you know that. But if the results are some kind of wrong, can you find that something is wrong in the way trades are placed?

I remember that in the past someone reported something similar, but I forgot what was the reason back then.

    • RE: ELSE/OR CLOSE UNDER THESE CONDITIONS OR THE OTHERS

Only if you use <, >, <=, >=, == or != you can yse the yellow output as a true "else". For block 2, one of it's outputs is active within some candles and the other output is active in different candles, but most of the time bith outputs are completely off. While there is no x< or x> both outputs in block 2 are completely off. This means that if you connect a block from these outputs, it will not run most of the time. This is how I did it in the beginning

If you want to check some condition and while it's not true to check other condition, use <, >, <=, >=, == or != for the first one.

Crossovers (x< and x>) are 2 in 1 conditions. And as I said, it was my initial decision to make the yellow output to work as the opposite crossover, but not "else".

    • RE: EA to buy and sell after MACD cross confirmation

This was the example. Look at my example in the other topic and you will see that there are 2 extra blocks.

Variables are just values with name. Some name that holds a value. There are different types of values, different data types.

bool = boolean, either true or false, which is similar to 1 or 0
      int = integer, whole values like 1, 2, 3, 4
double = floating numbers like 1.2345 and 48.39327
string - texts like Hello, World

bool, int and double can be mixed most of the time. It's actually possible to define string variable and use it as a number later... sometimes.

Again, variables are just some kind of objects that have name and the person can recognize, and they contain some data. In the deepest level they are addresses on the RAM. They can be read or modified.

in fxDreema Variables are global - they can be accessed from everywhere in the project.

    • RE: ELSE/OR CLOSE UNDER THESE CONDITIONS OR THE OTHERS

For "Condition", the yellow output is active when the orange one is not. At any given time one of the outputs is active and the orher is inactive. But this is not always the case!

In case of x> the yellow output works as x< and in case of x< the yellow output works as x>. So in case of crossover, the yellow output is not "else", but it's the opposite crossover. In most of the time both outputs are off in this case.

There is one more situation when one of the operands (left or right side) is equal to EMPTY_VALUE, which is the value that custom indicators are giving us when they are not visible. Or when you work with an object that does not exists. In these case none of the outputs is active.

    • RE: self updating/refreshing grid, compare two groups of trades

Sorry, I'm not going to dig into a project with 100s of blocks and an indicator that I have no idea how it works. And honestly, I don't even care how this indicator works. I'm tired of explaining the same things over and over again. I still think that it's not so hard to put few blocks together in a brand new project to show some bug, other people are doing it sometimes.

    • RE: EA to buy and sell after MACD cross confirmation

I always try to explain how things work in general, I never want to make whole projects. I was just showing the idea. And the idea is that the EA uses temporary memory (Variables) to hold some information about it's current state. It's just some example and no one says that this is exactly the way it must be done. The Variable that is used in my case is "int", but it can be also other type, like "string".

What is missing in your copy is the check of the Variable before going to Buy or Sell. Again, this Variable holds information about the current state of the logic and I was using the value of 1 to say that the EA is ready to Buy. Value -1 to say if the EA is ready to Sell. But you are not checking whether the Variable is 1 or -1.

Wow, I totally forgot about this experimental thing. It's probably possible, but I became resistant to adding new options in blocks and especially in these blocks that already have many options 🙂

I'm not sure if this will work, but maybe it's possible to use some formula there if it doesn't contain / or ,
If we take OrderStopLoss() for example, this will be the stop-loss of the trade that is currently loaded in the loop that the block creates.
