    • RE: candle time

Candles does not end, they are abandoned. When a new candle is created, the old one just stops updating. This always happen after the new candle is created, of course.

There are blocks like Time filter where you can check the current time. If you want to find previous candle by time, then in "Condition -> Candle -> Candle" set the option called "Find Candle by" to "Time". And write the time in format such as 12:54

    • RE: Sell orders being deleted

The problem here is that if Fractal Down is not present, it's value is 0. As you can imagine, 0 is always lower than any Moving Average value.

"Condition" block will not pass if one of it's operands equals to EMPTY_VALUE (the biggest integer value), which is the value that custom indicators use to tell the EA that their buffer is not present. So, "Condition" block will not pass if indicator is used in it and the buffer that is selected for it is "invisible". But this is not the case with Fractals, it uses the value of 0 instead of EMPTY_VALUE and "Condition" just uses this value as any other normal value that is not EMPTY_VALUE.

I will not make the "Condition" block to not pass when one of it's values is 0, because there are indicators where this value is very normal, and also negative values are normal.

So, what you can do is to check if the indicator value is positive above block 4 🙂

    • RE: variable inputs I did not check or create

Maybe this term "Risk" should be used when we are ready to lose certain amount of money, or in other words - when we have SL and the combination of lot size and stop-loss results in predefined loss. When you have 0.03 Lots, you can close the trade when it have 3 dollars loss or 300 dollars loss, or any other loss.

Anyway, I will suggest this option % of Balance => Lots. The calculation is very similar to yours. If you have 1000 dollars Balance, then 100% means that the lot size will be 0.01 lots (because 0.01 lots are 1000 dollars when 1 lot is 100,000 dollars). So instead of 3, use the value of 300. And note that this option will work on EURUSD and most currencies, but for fancy markets things can be a little bit different, because everything depends on what is the size of 1 lot.

Or you can also build your own formula and use it directly. I'm doing it that way sometimes, it's actually easy to use some native MQL4 values like this one: http://docs.mql4.com/account/accountbalance
This was some calculation that I personally used somewhere, just for an example, it only means something for me: http://prntscr.com/76t4e8

Depends on what you understand by X % of Risk based on Balance 🙂

But if you choose those options, you will see that they are checked: http://prntscr.com/76som9

Of course, this is a bug, or at least something that does not work as expected. But I am also thinking to remove those checkboxes at all in the future update, mostly because people are using them too much 🙂

No. But 1, 2, -1890 will probably close manual trades. Or 1, 2, MagicStart

    • RE: self updating/refreshing grid, compare two groups of trades

      If MagicStart is 1860, then:

      • Group 0 is translated to Magic Number 1860
      • Group 1 is translated to Magic Number 1861
      • Group 2 is translated to Magic Number 1862
        ....
      • Group -1 is translated to Magic Number 1859
        ...
      • Group 1860 is translated to Magic Number 3720
        ...
      • Group 18600 is translated to Magic Number 20460

    • RE: self updating/refreshing grid, compare two groups of trades

No, group 0 is not the magic number of 0.

Magic Number = Group Number + MagicStart (input parameter for the EA)

But if you set your MagicStart to 0, then it will work that way 🙂

    • RE: Email Alerts - onTrade functions

Well, if I ever decide to add this option, the value that you will get will not be "Buy" or "Sell", because this means nothing for the EA 🙂 But you can still use the native function OrderType() that will give you the numeric value of 0 for buys and 1 for sells

    • RE: neet help- want to open trade directly after arrow shows

First of all, make sure that the EA gets the values that it wants from the indicator. For this, use "Indicator tester" block like this: https://fxdreema.com/demo/mt4-indicator-tester

If you don't see normal price values like 1.2345, then try with Candle ID = 1. Arrow-based indicators normally work on the previous candle.

Then you can use "Condition" blocks. Compare the indicator with the value of 0 like this: Indicator > 0. Why this works... because I have set the Condition block to not pass if the indicator value is EMPTY_VALUE.

Alternative is the block called "indicator is visible".

If needed, use "Once per bar" block - before or after this condition, it depends.

    • RE: Trailing stop

Trailing Step is the minimum step at which SL is moving. What do you want to move if you don't have SL? Pending orders?

This hedge again... I think this is loss of time 🙂 I wrote this 100 times here and there, but I still believe that hedging (in the same symbol) is only the worse way to do martingale. And it's so hard to build, that I also have problems to tell the people how to make it right.

    • RE: Gap detector

If these "min" and "max" levels are candle high and low, then I can suggest few "Condition" blocks, because they are used to compare two levels. They also have this "Adjust" field where you can add something to operands (red the description of this block for more info)

Yes, it is for opened trades only. There is another block for closed trades only and it's name is "For each Closed Trade". But "For each Trade" also works, I was just using it and it works as expected. Double-click on every Alert message to see it's content.
