The final lot size is not exactly the same as the calculated one. For example, let's say that you have balance that results in lot size of 0.103 lots, but for MetaTrader such a value is unacceptable, so the lot size is rounded to 0.1. Even if your account is in USD the lot size will be not 100% accurate.

But how big is the difference when you are in GBP account? If you got 0.1 lots now, what should be the right value and is it so different? I mean, you can tune % of Balance parameter to be 90% or 110% if needed.

Well, I will take a look at what can be done, because % of Balance option seems to be not correct in most cases.

Ok, I stuck with these lot calculations. My base currency is USD, so when I buy 0.1 lots in USDJPY (now USDJPY is somewhere around 100), am I giving 10.000 USD or 10.000 JPY? I think I'm giving 10.000 USD. If that's true, then 100% of Balance when you have balance of 10.000 USD is exactly 0.1 lot in USDJPY.

In case of EURUSD I think I'm giving 10.000 EUR, which is 13.080 USD when the price is 1.308. So in this case "% of Balance" option is a little bit wrong, because it will calculate exactly 0.1 lots when you have 10.000 dollars, but this is actually transaction of 13.080 dollars.

If I'm wrong, let me know.

The output code is generated depending on the block parameters, not their title or position. How many blocks do you have?

В такъв случай "average profit" ми звучи доста по-различно от брой затворени поръчки. Само че когато е пуснат на графиката, експерта вижда историческите поръчки на MetaTrader, не само своите си. Само при бектест започва от нулата. Та затова трябва сам да си брои собствените. То вероятно има различни начини, но бих предложил нещо под "on Trade" - когато нова поръчка се отвори, да се инкрементира някой брояч. Има една категория "Counters" дето има такива броячи.

Иначе ако търсиш среден профит от последните 10 затворени поръчки - ей там в същия блок има една опции за това в името на които има "n" trades. Но да ти кажа съм позабравил този блок как точно работи

"Formula" block makes very simple calculation and puts the result in a global variable which is automatically created. This global variable is the Result. When two Formula blocks uses the same Result, only one global variable will be created and those Formula blocks actually both work with the same variable, so there is no matter which one you will choose. But I think you have to check your Result names...

Well, after I started fxDreema I stopped to try to build EAs. Then I decided that Forex is not for me, but I like to create new tools, so I'm happy with fxDreema even when I don't care about Forex and trading very much.

Actually the reason why I decided to start coding this tool was that I was tired of trying to create a universal EA... or at least something that can do Martingale, Fibonacci or Anti-Martingale when I decide. It sounds so easy, but it's not. I found myself trying to write maybe less than 100 rows of code day after day, so I decided to lose my time with something else.

The biggest problem for me is the speed of backtesting in MetaTrader. There is a big waste of time while coding something very simple. My way to code is to write something simple - do test, write more - do another test... write-test-write-test. In MetaTrader you have to waaaaaaiiiiitttttt... And it's hard to detect problems when something is not working as expected. There is something more - MQL4 has weird behaviour sometimes. It's also hard to work with arrays in MQL4. What about MQL5 - it's 5 times harder to do something there.

Are you in MQL5 project? When you are in MQL4 project is does not care what is the MT5 folder, and when you are in MQL5 project it does not care about MT4 folder. You click on .ex4 or .ex5 button?

Projects -> New project (choose MQL5) creates a project for MT5. I tested this right now, it seems to work.

Ако имаш 10 поръчки и искаш да направиш нещо с тях - какво правиш? Хващаш ги една по една и ги проверяваш/правиш нещо върху тях. Точно това се случва и вътре в блока за трейлинг стоп, само че работата е там че не можеш много много да променяш логиката вътре в блока. Розовите блокове са все едно да хванеш съдържанието на трейлинг стоп блока (давам го само за пример) и да го разбиеш на блокове, върху които имаш повече контрол.

Първите 3 розови блока са за създаване на цикъла и дефакто зареждане на данните на всяка поръчка една по една. Другите са за дейности върху текущата заредена поръчка. Розовите блокове могат да работят и с buy и със sell поръчки. Повечето от тях служат и за пендинг ордери и затворени поръчки - зависи какъв е "Start" блока.

Трейлинг стоп функцията се прави така че да се следи разстоянието между текущата цена и SL (не цената на отваряне). Когато това разстояние е по-голямо от някаква стойност се премества SL на някакво разстояние от текущата цена.
Ако е трейлинг профит ще е същото, само че в обратната посока. Работи се с TP вместо със SL.

А това дето си направил ти е по-скоро един вид стоп лосс задействан от експерта. Иначе казано - скрит стоп лосс. Но няма трейлинг в това.
