Re: Pending stop orders

Hi All,

I made an EA that is supposed to enter a buy trade when the price comes from a lower price and comes up and crosses a previous candle high but when I used "Buy Pending Order" it put in a Buy Limit order to my broker and I'm finding my orders do not get filled. The only way they get filled is when the price goes above my order then comes back down below my Buy Limit order but by then I've lost the quick breakout move I was trying to catch.

Is there anyway to make a Buy Pending Order put in a Buy Stop Order to my broker instead of a Buy Limit order? (looking to do Sell Stop Orders on the short side too)

There is one known issue with the trailing stops. The way I set up my "modify stops" sometimes causes the rising trailing stop price to be modified back down! So some profit is lost. I will try to fix it in another version.

Hey nevermind about the 00:58 start time question. I figured it out.

FYI my running this on a live account for 2 days and I'm up $300!!!

It is designed to run on all 28 major pairs. It wins on about 22 of the 28 pairs on a one year backseat. running on multiple pairs I think will make the wins bigger than the losses.

I'm having the hardest time trying to get the EA to start 00:58 minutes after market open. I have seen lots of buying power at 1 hour after market open so I want my EA to enter right before the 1 hour mark. Any thoughts?

I was out of trading for a while, but I'm back with a new EA for you guys!!! I have been running backtesting on the daily chart (THIS ONLY WORKS ON THE DAILY TIMEFRAME) and it looks pretty good so far. I will share this with you guys. Link below.

I'm hoping you guys can do some backtesting and let me know what you find and any suggestions for improving it.

This EA only goes long. I tried reversing the conditions to go short and it lost money.

Not sure how available I can be to answer questions but I will try...it may take a long time for me to respond.

I haven't been able to test if the bot closes trades on Friday yet but it is supposed too and it is supposed to wait until an hour after market open to enter any trades so as to avoid the crazy spreads that happen at market close/open.

If you guys use this and make a bunch of money, I would appreciate you contacting me here to arrange a donation! You can use this EA to trade live, at your own risk, but please don't sell this. If you really want to market this I'm open to discussion.

The session is a bit sloppy but I tried to put in notes to describe things. FYI, If a block is turned off just leave it off.

I tried your suggestion and it worked!!! You have helped me finish my best EA ever!!! It seems to give profit with not too much drawdown, at least that is what my backtests show. I will be forward testing it this week on my live account!
