Good day. How can I go about building a Bot that scales more positions as price goes in profit. But that same trade goes into Loss, it martingales below the price.

For example I have a Key trade, that is the first trade that opens is the Key trade. Price only scales more positions when price is in profit, then when it's in loss only on that key trade, it martingales.

Pips means regardless of lot size the trade will stop when enough distance is covered, so I see why it would make sense. But test with money, once working as you want you can upgrade the logic to pips, because at this point you will know the money value of a trade's action, so on the same lot you will see how many pips give the same result.

@jstap can I also use this Formula for cut loss. Instead of stop loss.

I want a medium where the moment the present running trades sums up to a particular loss, close Instead of using Stop loss

I don't have one, you could use ZigZag but this is not easy. Otherwise you will have to find a indicator to do it.

I just tried it and its working for me.
So you changed your "Close_profit" constant from "TP mode" to "in pips" ?

@AlphaOmega I agree that backtesting is not good enough by itself, but it's x1000 times better than just assuming (hoping) that something works and then put money into it without any kind of analysis.

The way I judge experts now is not how good or bad these are in isolation, but how good they are in relation to each other in specific markets and situations, and how they would be able to complement each other when one of the pieces fail.

Markets change constantly and rigid strategies lose their edge and start underperforming when new volatility and structure regimes arise. This is why we also have to adapt and improve our strategy continuously.

The new AI technology will make trading A LOT harder than it already is.
