Can't replicate good test result

I am a beginner and have been testing my first few robots using variations of an EMA crossover. After getting disappointing results I tried out my latest version on XAUUSD and had, what looked to me, like a very encouraging test result.
I may have not factored in spread and started with USD 10,000. Just by clicking optimisation and changing the amount to GBP the robot completely bombed and I have not been able to achieve the same result or anything like it since despite reloading the history data and keeping my settings the same as the first run.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Do you know where I am going wrong? Can I retrieve the details of the test from the journal or the log to see what I did on the positive test?

@mikehzzzz I'm afraid there is no memory to stor those parameters. You will have to try anr retry again until you get the same results.

Yo echo un par de estrategias y durante ultimos 20 aņos cada aņo hace 20.000.000 + ... pero cuando pongo EA en demo se va a bajo (teste con ''Tickstory Lite'') Puede ser que el tester es malo ?

I do a couple of strategies and for the last 20 years every year it makes 20,000,000 + ... but when I put EA on demo it goes down (I tested with '' Tickstory Lite '') Could it be that the tester is bad?

@mareksmarks Good day... where is your 20 million expert? .. I will test it, and so a lot of others here.
The point is, you have to consider all aspects of your expert.. DD, PF, how many trades per month, etc. A number says nothing really, it is the collective factors of your expert that makes it good or bad. Just saying brother.. have a nice day

@l-andorrà Hola l'andorrà de nuevo. No veo o no entiendo tal vez, como se hace, que orden buy/sell se abre en el lugar donde el precio (linea ask de spread para buy y line bid de spread para sell) este por abajo/arriba de un nivel (envelopes line).

Lo que yo tengo son ''candle low price'' o ''candle high price'' - pero el problema es que el precio ya esta muy lejos de punto de entrada/señal cuando por fin ''candle low price'' o ''candle high price'' este por arriba/abajo de la linea de envelopes. Se abre orden a un kilometro desde el lugar de señal. El periodo de envelopes es 4.

Te pido - ayudame por favor.

@alphaomega Hello. Expert is in my pocket - Thanks for your interest. The question is not knowing how to test but - is ''Tickstory Lite'' trustworthy? Because results are good only in tester, in demo it is lost.
