Making Profit from EAs
-
Hi All Seniors and Every member....
My question is any one here in the fxdreama platform who is making money from any EA...?
Please reply just in Yes or No, I dont need your EA in case of Yes... but just wanted to know that anyone have Profitable EA and making money on that EA on his own Real Acc consistently from 1 year....?
I am asking cozz of I know many strategies that are perfect working on manual trade, but when i convert them in Automation they start loosing....

Hi @jazzybhai , mine are working well but still need to monitor the loses coz my strategy aren't perfect. But I'm sure sometimes EA losing because of using repaint indicator. Manual trade you can refresh the indicator at any timeand that makes it look perfect.

@jazzybhai My answer is YES and NO, it is not a joke, any EA you design, no matter how good it is, even if you have a Profit Factor of 10 (it is impossible, the maximum would be 3) you will not earn more than 20%, the rest are fallacies, let me explain , I have several (3 with profit factor 2.1, 1.83 and 1.72) that would owe me according to Backtest a profit of 62%, 54% and 35% and actually making them run in demo a month in a row and alone, I have only obtained 20% and the first 15 days it had losses of 30% until it started to win and got to 20% profit, think that every EA needs a life of use of one year to obtain its profitability but you can have months with large losses and others with great gains to compensate and balance being very good at max. 20% everything they tell you later is a lie. I personally know an algorithmic Trader who says that he earns a lot on YouTube but it is only to sell his EAs, the reality is that he is in front of the screen 6 hours a day following his EAs, all with fixed hours and when he can apply the Breackeven He puts it on manually and the Stop Loss is raised manually so as not to lose so much, and even so he has to renew the EAs, every 6 or 9 months at least as they expire.

it's not easy to just say yes or no. Because to create a good EA isn't easy. Sometimes, a bug appears and I need to fix, later another bug appears.
You can do manual trading with profitable results, however, a buggy EA still loses money because of unperfect logic in building your EA.
Sometimes, I just build an EA to do some consuming time tasks and fix it little by little.
-
@migen Yes, but it will not make me rich. It's a very slow risk EA and makes up to a 20% yearly (at best).
-
@l-andorrà , why so slow?

Or maybe you're talking about $100,000 capital, and making profit $20,000/year? That's good.
-
@biztet It is clear that trading with € 1,000 is not the same as with € 10,000 and much less with € 30,000, but as a general rule it is always 20% per year of the capital you have, it is possible that a month you will earn 150% or 200% But it will be a month of 12, then the catastrophic events will come to you that although I am not an old trader, what they have been for years will confirm it, there are more months in losses than in profits and the annual average is 20% commented, it is also true that it is easier to bust a € 1,000 account than a € 10,000 account, and it is not a matter of slowness but of statistics.
-
And so there will be a month of holiday.
Let's trade January to October, and have a happy holiday on November to December. -
@biztet It is so slow because it never risks more than 0.5% of the current balance. It is not a very good EA, but a stable and profitable onw, though. And not, my balance is FAR below 100.000$.

Don't worry. The sun will rise.
-
allright... that means successful EA can be created with the options of fxdreama....
-
@biztet said in Making Profit from EAs:
Don't worry. The sun will rise.
Many People are waiting the sun to be rise from past 13 14 years....

Ofcourse @jazzybhai . That's why an expert like @fxDreema creating this EA generator, just like any other EA generators on the net, to give us a chance to create our own EA. Regardless the technical aspects in your strategy, you can make a profitable EA. Any good strategy will always give us profit. For me there's no need to backtest for years and the result must make millions after few months/years. Withdraw your money when the profit exceed your capital. Then for sure you will make a withdrawal weekly/monthly, even daily if your EA are very good. Maybe if you already have 6 figures in your bank account, then you will make a withdrawal once/twice a year.

well EAs can be very profitable if you set it up correctly. The set up should be exactly the way you would have traded when doing it manually. It helps you not to miss the entries when you have to do other important things like sleeping. Apply the same conditions as you would have done it manually. It takes the emotional part out of trading which can be your worst enemy and allows you to follow your strategy. If the EA is not profitable and it was set up correctly then it is your strategy that needs work not the EA because it just does what it is told to do.
-
Yes, i agree with @rogerthat about not to miss the entry. When the trade is open, then its your job to make sure that the trade is going the same way with your setup and current market condition.
