Um, yeah. That would be it...
Funny how that happened after the update.

It would be great if the blocks were automatically titled an abbreviation of the condition inside.
In other words, the way we title them ourselves but it just does it automatically.
Other than that...this program is awesome. Thanks and I feel like I'm finally on my way to creating a profitable system.
Okay, I'll let you know.
FXChoice from Nepal tells my I can trade there even though I am in the U.S. so I will probably do that.
Have you heard of them or any feed back about them? Honest broker?
See? I'm not crazy. See? See? See?
Where is my visualization mode? and what's it "optimization" crap to the right?
Anyway, thanks for looking at it but if you know where in the world of the mt5 forum community someone might know about this, please direct me there.
So to BUY my CCI X> -40 and then to close when it is => 185.
So testing was running along great until it his a condition when the cross of -40 and hitting 185 were on the same candle, resulting in multiple open/closes and draining of the account.
This is more of a strategy question than technical...and this is for FXDreema or any other traders out there.
Any ideas on what block or added condition I could use to avoid this.
Like something that says, if a trade was just opened on this candle, close on next candle.
Everything is running great except for this little glitch.
Oh, and it's not showing me the trades during testing...I have to wait until it's done and click "Open Chart".
The last time MT4 updated, the box to check for visualization is gone and the bar to speed up or slow down is gone...and the tick testing is soooo slow!
Any clue how to work around this, fix it, test faster?
Do you mean to check for error messages in the journal?
I have not tried with one of these accounts yet. I have been using a broker from Nepal. I will probably go with them when I go live so I don't have to deal with this.
I was just asking in advance in case there are roadblocks to going with a broker overseas.
I have on my closing EA to close out with a loss if the CCI crosses below 0.
Here it crossed below 0 but did not close?
Is there something I did wrong?
So if I insert a condition between 1 and 2 after doing several, and the inserted number is for example 22, will that affect the workflow if it's connected by orange lines?
If so, any chance on a little program that can renumber groups of blocks for us easily?...rather than changing one number and then going through and changing all the other numbers for correct order.
Let me know if my question doesn't make sense.
So to answer your question, if you really want to test on a demo account with these restrictions: https://www.fxcm.com/

Thanks for the empathy. I'm hoping there worn't be any road blocks to go live at FXChoice. They are very highly rated by 4xpeacearmy.com.
These rules are symptomatic of the upside-down priorities in our country right now. These rules make it much easier for the individual trader (small-guy)to make a mistake and loose a lot of money.
In the U.S. (I'm not sure where FXdreema is based) FXCM is a major trusted broker.
Since the Security Exchange Commission made changes, it changed how FXCM allows its clients to trade.
For example when you go long, the only way to "Close" the trade is to actually "Sell" for the same amount.
So the only commands in MT4 are Buy and Sell. There is no "Close".
Will using Close in FXDreema perform the same function as "Trade in the option Direction"?
Or instead of using Close Trades Block I just use another Sell at the end of my conditions?
Or will this work at all with these SEC regulations? (which are just plain annoying.)
Are you familiar with these rules and how the coding works with the brokers that follow them?
(I will probably be going with an overseas broker anyway, but in case I'm not able to, I wanted to ask because FXCM is quite reputable in the States.)
So you are able to see my projects correct?
So I have Trade CCI 2 SEL running on one screen wile CLOSE SELL CCI2 runs on another (I'll eventual upgrade membership to put it all together.)
For whatever reason trades would open and then immediately close on the next tick. I can't figure out why. I can't see that my close conditions are anywhere near the open. So this would just repeat and drain my account from all the spreads. (demo account, of course!) So far this has only happened on the EURCHF.
It also happened on the BUY conditions for AUDNZD.
Other pairs, my systems have worked fine...so far.
Also, as I write this, on the NZDJPY it opened a trade for every tick. Using Check Trade Count, I only wanted it to open no more than 3 trades...how do I limit the trades to 3 for a given screen/currency pair?
What is the best way to have:
area 1 false?
then go to area 2?
In other words I just want 1 group to close a trade or the other, whichever is first.
I want to make sure I'm understanding the logic right:
Does this say if AREA 1 conditions are TRUE then CLOSE?
If not, then AREA 2 condItions are TRUE, then CLOSE?
......

I designed a simple close trade procedure and it did not close when it should have so I just need my logic verified.
In this diagram I want either:
conditions 2 and 3 to CLOSE TRADES
OR
conditions 4 and 5 to CLOSE TRADES
Is this workflow correct for that?
......

I checked the path:

But I get the above error when trying to write the file.
Is it my workflow?

So, I'ved used molanis years ago and this actually looks more advanced.
I'm confused though on assigning a worklfow to a simple conditional close.
The set up in FXDreema is a bit different.
So firstly, is this right to close under the conditions after the buy and the separate set of conditions under the close?
(Assuming the conditions are created accurately)
