@roar yes it does open trades , my apologies but im still confused on how to add additional trigger conditions to the ea , before it opens trades for instace how do i make it say, oaky there is divergence , now ill wait until the candle breaks the last swing high and close the i will open buy now trade condition.

For that purpose it is easier to use a trigger variable which value can be 0 or 1:
Note that this trigger allows infinite time between the 2 indicator signals. You can implement the barcount thing to set a time limit for the 2.

OMG! I had the same idea. Love it! I would like to be a part of this. I have made about 40 EAs with different software for both crypto and FX but none of them were profitable with low risk. Some were 95% win rate but the 5% of the time when they lost, those losses canceled out all the profits from the 95% winning trades!
Anyway, I think I have a bunch of code blocks that may be able to help improve other EAs I'm an experienced trader but I've only been using fxdreema about 8 months
I would also love to talk about strategy. I feel if the strategy is right then the EA can be built.
I will take a look at this thread and see what I can contribute!!!

@wralyn Thanks for sharing! I took a look at the EA and I made some additions. 1.) I added a condition to let the trades run past the 500ema to capture more pips. 2.) I put in a stop loss based on past support and resistance levels.
I called the ea "close the gap v2.0". It does not win every trade now but the stop loss should protect the account from big losses. I noticed that it does not work well during prolonged trending. like back in 2017 but it works well for 2019. I think its an improvement. I will share the project here:

@kolorowy80 Hi! Can you tell me what your stop loss mode in the buy now and sell now blocks are? I accidentally edited them and can't undo it. Maybe just post another link of the project that I can look at? I like your EA! I am writing out descriptions for all your blocks so I can understand everything then I can try to improve. I split the code (the close the gap v2.0 ea) into the "buy" and "sell", I know the trend has been downwards for the last year or so, hence the buy is below the 500EMA. Is it worth adding in a general trend so using either the buy or sell based on that?
Like the sell alone has been very profitable but the buy by itself is actually returning a loss for me.Also, in your v2, there is a modify variable OpenPriceLong and OpenPriceShort. I'm not sure how this works? So I've removed it in my EA because I don't include thing a noob like me doesn't understand.

Sounds like a great idea, I'm working on a very specific EA, but running into issues with trying to create alert criteria for a custom indicator for currency strength meter. I have the source file, just not sure how to take the information it gives and create an alert out of it. Here's the criteria for the EA that should send an alert notification IF:
BUY SETUPS (Sell setup is opposite)
- 1hr chart = 18EMA > 50EMA > 200EMA
- 15m chart = 18EMA > 50EMA > 200EMA
- 15m chart = Price is between 15EMA and 21EMA (this is for a 18EMA pullback)
- Currency strength meter = Strong pair (>6.0?) / Weak pair (<-4.0?)
- Auto Fibonacci Level = price has also retraced to a fibonacci level

I was out of trading for a while, but I'm back with a new EA for you guys!!! I have been running backtesting on the daily chart (THIS ONLY WORKS ON THE DAILY TIMEFRAME) and it looks pretty good so far. I will share this with you guys. Link below.
I'm hoping you guys can do some backtesting and let me know what you find and any suggestions for improving it.
This EA only goes long. I tried reversing the conditions to go short and it lost money.
Not sure how available I can be to answer questions but I will try...it may take a long time for me to respond.
I haven't been able to test if the bot closes trades on Friday yet but it is supposed too and it is supposed to wait until an hour after market open to enter any trades so as to avoid the crazy spreads that happen at market close/open.
If you guys use this and make a bunch of money, I would appreciate you contacting me here to arrange a donation! You can use this EA to trade live, at your own risk, but please don't sell this. If you really want to market this I'm open to discussion.
The session is a bit sloppy but I tried to put in notes to describe things. FYI, If a block is turned off just leave it off.
