    • Did anyone ever solve this "Same TP multiple trades?

      Re: Same TP multiple trades

I've been trying to solve this and haven't had any luck. I want to have all older positions change TP to match the most recent opened position and my lot size to slightly increase.

Has anyone been able to figure this out?

@Cri760 I see you were trying to figure out the same issue I'm trying to figure out right now. Have you found a way to change all older open TP trades to match the most recent one and increase volume to cover it all?

    • How to close all open trades by a certain time?

Can someone tell me how to close all my trades by a certain time of the day? My goal is to close anything that is open including the drawdown before the end of the day. (If Trade -Time Filter - Close Trade)

@ambrogio There must be a way to use these blocks to make this happen. I'm just not sure how to do that. (Equity - Balance and Equity + Balance +1%.) I've been trying to make sense of this. The answer must be in this but I haven't figured it out yet.

@ambrogio When you are looking at that image you can see how each sell position is the perfect distance from the last one. Mine won't be like that. You are correct about the equity and starting balance. Let's say the new trade opens up and the current drawdown (Equity $8,000) is $2,000. So, the idea is if the new trade that opened up hits TP it will close all positions and give me 1% more than the original $10,000 balance that I started with. I don't know exactly where the next open position will be, so I'm trying to avoid just putting in any lot size hoping to cover it all. Doing this would likely cause me to add additional risk on my account and will reduce the number of positions I can have in drawdown at the same time. If I can be more accurate with my entries and lot sizes it will allow me to have more positions open and be able to deal with the negative equity longer.

    • RE: Can I close most recent position that will factor in original balance and (negative equity) from open positions in drawdown?? (Round 3)

You're right, 1% is still 1%. The issue is how do I achieve that? This is easy to figure out if it's one trade is opened, hits target, then closes. The problem is when the trade doesn't hit TP and stays open. All of a sudden I have another trade open, and another, and another. Each one of them could be in a different location on the chart. So, how does the new trade that opened factor in the (-equity) drawdown and give me that 1% gain if it hits TP and closes all trades?

@jstap the problem is it would be difficult to get a move big enough to cover to cover the equity and still be profitable. This can work some of the times but if the price trends in one direction for a considerable time I will run the risk of severe drawdown.

    • Can I close most recent position that will factor in original balance and (negative equity) from open positions in drawdown?? (Round 3)

I haven't given up yet. You can tell from the title that this is a challenging task. I need to find a way to to close all trades when TP is hit and end up with a percentage gain.

      1. If only 1 trade open and hits TP then it closes in profit and waits for the next entry.
      2. If 1st trade doesn't hit TP and triggers 2, 3,4, I will have 5 open positions. This means 4 of them will be in drawdown. If the 5th one hits TP it should close all trades.
      3. When closing all trades it should factor in the original balance and the and the negative equity from the option position(s).
      4. When this happen my goal is have a percentage gain on the account. So, the lot size with each new position will depend on the original balance, the current drawdown on equity, and the percentage target when the trades close.

There must be a way to do this. Please help solve this puzzle.

    • RE: Increase Lot Size and Close all? (Round 2)

@roar I missed your last message. Now, I can have it where I know what the first TP is and how big the lot size would be if it was only one trade. The problem is when it doesn't hit TP and triggers another trade, and another, and so on. Let's say 4 trades are open now. The last 3 are in drawdown and the newest one hits TP. When this happens it needs to close all the trades and end up with a % gain from the original balance before those trades were opened. So, after all the positive and negative balance trades close I will end up in profit. I appreciate the help.

    • RE: Increase Lot Size and Close all? (Round 2)

Yes, we need to calculate the lot size, given the current drawdown and TP level, and original balance before the trade(s) were opened, but the TP will be different each time.

    • RE: Increase Lot Size and Close all? (Round 2)

@roar the original balance stays the same while the positive and negative positions are open. When the trade(s) close then the balance will change. The only thing that fluctuates is the equity and will continue to have a larger negative balance as each new trade opens. The cycle ends when the most recent trade hits take-profit to close everything. So the lot size I need to get the 1% will depend on how far my take-profit is each time, the balance, and the current drawdown on equity.

    • RE: Increase Lot Size and Close all? (Round 2)

The goal is to close all trades when I reach the take-profit. When I reach the take-profit all the trades should close (the one profitable and the other ones in drawdown) and give me a net profit of 1% from the original balance. So, this means the most recent trade would always have to factor in the current balance and the drawdown on equity.

    • Increase Lot Size and Close all? (Round 2)

If you have been following what I've been trying to do. You already know that we were unable to figure out a solution. I wanted to be able to close my most most recent trade in (%) profit and close all the other ones in drawdown at the same time.

This would leave me with a slight increase from the original amount I started with. Here's the link to the original post: https://fxdreema.com/forum/topic/16259/increase-lot-size-and-close-all?_=1678109632847

      New idea
After trying to get my head around this problem I believe I've come up with a new way (better way) to approach this.

      1. Check Balance: Equity is Below Balance
      2. Formula: Balance Minus Equity
      3. Formula: Equity Plus Balance
      4. Formula: Balance Plus (In Loop) Trade/Order - Volume Size Lots
      5. Closing all positions: I think this part is figured out but I'm also curious on any suggestion you may have.

I know this is incomplete but I'm hoping someone here can understand what I'm trying to do here and help me complete this puzzle.

      • When my first trade opens I want it to be 1% of the balance.

      • When my 2nd, 3rd, 4th or more trades are open my equity will be below my balance.

      • I want add the current equity I've lost from the open positions and add it onto my current balance, then I want to open my new position that will be 1% of the new total.

      • (Balance - Equity) + (Total + Balance)
New Trade = 1% of new Balance (Balance + Equity lost on open positions)

This seems more achievable than what I was originally asking help for but this will also accomplish what I'm trying to do. I wish I understood this better but the resources available to learn how to do this are limited.

I appreciate anyone that can help me put this puzzle together.
