Thanks. Since both stop losses and trailing stops can be implemented by either purple loop function, or attached to the no position tab or through the buy/sell buttons, they are either controlled by the tick or the loops are within the function itself. What benefit does it have to use a loop if you are already being reiterated in the tick?

Saying my connection was lost so here is the question againposted in Questions & Answers
What is the benefit of stop losses and trailing stops being implemented as ticks versus loops?

What is the advantage of modifying stop losses and trailing stopsposted in Questions & Answers
as per tick versus per loop?

can you use a condition for indicators without a condition (as a solo condition as itself)?posted in Questions & Answers
For example, simple RSI rising, without having to have a condition above it, in order to follow up with a close trades and buy now.
I tried it and its not working.....

How do you find out if the command you want to use is by tick or by trade event?posted in Questions & Answers
If I am going to use the trailing stop, do I create a tree in the trade event? or tick event? I had an ea that worked on Friday, but now its not and nothing really changed....
Also, are my trees going to be on the same screen?
Is there a different color coordination (on the left of the build screen) with events?

@fxdreema I get lost here when you add volume to a losing position. I never that to be a strategy, unless there is some example that I missed

So once you have it in your folder. Then what? You can't import it. Do you have to code it in?

After a little research here about downloading personal indicators into fxdreema, I have some basic questions if anyone can add some answersposted in Questions & Answers
So, I have an example indicator that I am seeking to use. I went to the source code option in mt5 and I have it all. I can see the parameters, and here are some of the titles
input parameters
Custom indicator initialization function
indicator buffers mapping
indicator short name assignment
Custom indicator de-initialization function
buffers declarations
Custom indicator iteration function
Custom functionsAre we to input all this information into these fields if we are to use any outside indicators? Is that how we access the indicators we have that are not on the platform?
I have no idea where to start. If you can just answer yes, or no....then I will no that I should or shouldn't even attempt this.
Thank you for your time....
I appreciate you. -
Regarding the Indicator Rise and Indicator Fallposted in Questions & Answers
I don't understand the fields that are on this fom
My concerns are regarding the :
Candles to rise
With Exception of few candles
Pips to rise
options....Are these the
- number of candles to pass before we get IN the trade or
- the number of candles we commit to the duration of our trade....
(Sort of like the "Cross Width" option in the indicators conditions as they pass above or below whatever. It tells the number of candles we are to commit to the trade.)
Is this the same?
or are these the number of candles we want to pass before we get into our trade.

RE: If choosing weekday filter, does that mean my operation only go once a day?posted in Questions & Answers
yet, if I put this on once a minute, does that even matter ordo any of those time filters matter. I am trying not to have my loop unnecessarily loop, but it is outside of my local function. I don't know if I can put a constraint on my loop by having the loop just check every minute, and on ontick, I don't know how that is doable.
Ultimately, I am testing stuff out and it takes forever, so I am trying to minimize process. -

So putting this on an hourly is really no different between putting this on a daily because a tick is a tick? No?

If choosing weekday filter, does that mean my operation only go once a day?posted in Questions & Answers
What about loops? What about if position? I am trying to understand the frequency because being in a trade at 1201 am to make 30 pips and have it go backwards against me and then find out the calculation begins at midnight again the next day, isn't good. I am trying to find an answer about time frames and whether it means execution of trades happens according to that or whether it some other way. Please advise, anyone. Thanks I appreciate your help and insight.

RE: About "time filters".posted in Questions & Answers
@fxdreema If I put, the filter on weekday filter, does that mean the system only looks at trades once per day? If not, then what makes it different from putting it on the hourly. I am just trying to understand the frequency of the iterations so that I may understand better my global risk management loops and the local loops. Thanks

RE: Trailing stop as a % of the initial stop-lossposted in Questions & Answers
Hey Ryan. I see your starting with select object by name and pass. Aren't you supposed to start with no trade? Also, the bottom has a delete button by itself.
I haven't seen these delete buttons or a pass button before. I am trying to implement this into a program I am working but I am putting my conditions right where your conditions are before the buy and sells.I also thought there wasnt supposed to be attached commands after the buys and sells.
Can you shed light on thisThanks
