    • Easy scrolling and navigation multiple Areas w/ 100+ blocks

Hey folks, happy to drop a message here!

I'd like to share some Chrome browser extensions I've found recently, that allow for much easier FXDreema platform navigation, especially, if your Project has 100+ blocks and 4+ Areas that doesn't fit in a typical screen setup.

      1. ReScroller

ReScroller is a simple solution allows for a scrollbar scaling on the FXDreema Platform. What is remarkable, many competitors (Modern Scroll, Scrollbar Customizer, etc) are fail to gain control over FXDreema platform framework, comparison to a ReScroller extension

      2. ScrollAnywhere

ScrollAnywhere is an interesting web-page navigation solution, allows for initiating scrolling regardless of the current pointer screen position, by employing right-click button or any other mouse button assigned for a scrolling purpose, according a user's choice

UPD: After the recent MFF scam exposure event, I believe, my post above deservers an additional input for the community sake.

      • From this point and onwards, none of the companies in the list above is trustworthy, no matter the claimings on win-win business model and the conflict of interest absence. Same doubt applies to the Live accounts provided to the qualified challenge participants, prop firm's direct liquidity provider cooperation, and STP/NDD order execution infrastructure claimings.
      • I will tend to consider their statements may be equally fault, until the regulation will step in the proprietary trading field.

      • Hey mates! Thank you for doing this! 🙌 Since this topic is so popular, could anyone shot a step-by-step video tutorial on how a News filter is built w/ FXStudio and post it in this thread
      • I believe it would be much appreciated by the community, especially by those having less experience w/ FXStudio and Custom Block building. Thank you! 🙏

      • @TipsyWisdom Hey mate! If i understood correctly, check out the screenshot to see how I spot if an Object is True at a certain Candle ID.
      • Feel free to use any variety of the Object's attributes fitting your case. In my case I used Object's Color+Object's Partial Name. 🙌

    • RE: EA robot and multiple charts
      • @HDPaul Hey mate. It's likely you will need a different Magic number assigned for each EA you attach to each chart. That entails the MT platform will treat each EA separately.
      • You can find the Magic Number setting in the Options->Project Options. Try it out to see if that works for you 🙏

      • @traderthomas Hey mate, that used to happen to me as well a couple of times in the past.
      • Just rename your current bot version and save it as a separate mq4/.mq5 and recompile it. The old settings must be updated if you do this.
      • Nonetheless it is still a bug worth fixing I believe cc @fxDreema

    • RE: BackTesting different from live trading
      • @ZakTrading also you can review to protect your SL with what I call "Conditional SL"

      • In the nutshell, you may want to set an additional rule for SL based on the candle close rather than just a price reaching a fixed SL price level

      • Example: your SL is 30 pips (or relative ATR %) and you operate on the 5 min TF. You can set a rule that your SL is triggered only in case if price CLOSE on M5 behind your SL price level.

      • This can make your SL more rigid to broker's spread-widening (during high impact news, holidays or Asian session) and MM Stop-hunt manipulations. You can see this as a reliable spike protection

      • However, this approach to an SL has its pros and cons. In case of a high volatility, this may incur relatively bigger loses if price eventually close behind your SL comparison to a fixed SL

      • @ZakTrading it also makes sense to add a "Spread filter" block to filter out unprofitable (premium zone) entries that could be triggered because of the broker's spread was too high the moment your entry occurred
      • Feel free to adjust that according to your preferences based on what spread is acceptable for your strat and instr 🖖

      • @ZakTrading hey mate, if the spread affects the EA's bottom line, adjusting your EA's strategy to a higher timeframe may be an option. I'd recommend anything above H1, like H4 D1 is where neither of spread nor news have any impact on your strategy or PnL for most of the instruments.

      • Kindly see this inf indi to assess the costs (aka spreads) of the business based on the spread to ATR relation for each specific TF you trade on:
        AT-Spreads.ex4

      • Any indicator's calculation result in green text should be ok to run an EA on the respective TF.

    • RE: "no trade (buy/sell)" Filter should ignore manually opened trades

@DanZig55 hey mate, on the "No trade" Condition block define what trade Group it should take into consideration.

Trade grouping allows for trade group separation. According to the screenshot attached, given block monitors Group 20 and Group 21 trade group only
Any manual trade will not have Group attribute, thus will be ignored by "No trade" Condition block

    • RE: Support and Resistance Zones
      • @ConorTucker no mate, the lagging doesn't take place during the trading, but it may occur during the algo compilation when your bot comprised of 500+ Condition blocks. To avoid that, indi import encompassing the Harmonics patterns would significantly reduce the Condition block count
      • As per harmonics indi i will not be able to advise any as i'm not into them. Instead, my best advice: make sure the indi Buffers are available through the Colors section so you can easily control the signals indi generates. You can use Trace/Trace Activity blocks to identify which Buffer/Color controls a certain signal and what candle #ID it generated on

    • RE: Support and Resistance Zones

@ConorTucker - Hey mate, it sounds like your Project may have too many blocks. It may lead to severe lags and errors during compilation and testing due to the FxDreema pltf. limitations. As an option, you could review to import a Custom Indicator w/ Harmonic patterns for a start. That expedite the development and will optimize the bot's performance

      • Then, add a couple of filtering Condition blocks according to your strategy plan. That would be a good start.

      • In case, your Harmonic indie is not open-source, check out threads below on how to import those. Good luck!

      • @fxDreema I can confirm some lags during all types of the regular platforms operations I wasn't experiencing previously. This is not related to the project size in my case
      • I'm on the DSL type internet line lately, so that may add to the issue. Will monitor after i will change the location a test with 2500MBit optical fibre EOW

      • Dear @roar, you're right on the prop firm legitimacy once again. It is not easy to find a reputable partner in this business so as with the FX brokers.
      • Most of the firms using the business model that implies the confrontation of interest between the firm and the trader. But not all of them.
      • Here's a prop-firm short-list that provides live funded accounts (not demo, comparison to FTMO and the majority of others) to the successful challenge participants. Since trader trades w live funds, the payout is generated from the profits, thus there is no conflict of interest

      • Anyone feel free to learn more on the Trustpilot and/or do your own diligence on any of those

      • I've personally done the research on those firms, that's why I believe is worth sharing with the community here. If any FXDreema member is currently review joining any prop firm challenge, i strongly advise to prioritize the firms from the list above
